She dug her nails into the cement, making them bleed as she whimpered again, tears dripping down her face. "he's gone..." she sobbed softly.

He didn't know he'd shifted human until he saw his human ands reach out to hold her face and his thumbs wipe away her tears. "It's okay," he murmered, though he knew such experiences NEVER felt okay.

"Jagger," she sobbed softly as he stroked her tears away. She wanted to hug him, to wrap herself around him to comfort her. "Please.....please don't ever leave," she sniffled loudly. "I cant lose anyone else,"

"Alright," his heart said before his brain got a chance to mess it up again. "I promise, I won't leave you." He pulled her gently into a warm embrace. "You're safe with me, Repo."

She sniffled as she wrapped her arms around his neck, keeping him tight against her as he gave her the reassurence of being ok. "I...I know..." she whispered, sniffling. "I feel safe in your arms," she whimpered

He prepared himself to wait until she was ready to talk. His mind seemed too focused on her to assault him with the usual explosions of memories.

"I...s..saw my past," she whispered shakily. "A very grave change in my life..." she added softly, shivering slightly fromcrying

"Yes," he said. "Believe me, I understand. Go on."

"Eli...my first and only friend at the orphanage...he...he didn't come back one day, when he promised he would come back..b...but he got adopted..a...and never did come back," she said softly. "I thought I loved him, but it just wasn't meant to be,"

"It is... a difficult thing t-..." He took a deep breath and swollowed, "to lose the one you think you love," he said. Even worse if that person doesn't just leave. Because gone or dead just wouldn't be bad enough, would it? No, instead that person changes into something so much worse than gone or dead or any other simple way to leave. "A nightmare is a hard thing to wake up to," he said really low under his breath, not even meaning to say it out loud.
