Kale buried her face in his chest as he held her closer and breathed in his warm and comfortable scent with a soft smile on her face. "You're doing a good job of it," She murmured into his shirt.

"Oh what happened?" Cynthia asked, genuinely curious. Her father had a whole bunch of back surgery from football back when he was in college so she was always interested in hearing about other sports injuries.

Patrick nodded before disappearing into the restaurant with a smile on his lips.

Darren smiled brightly. "I'm glad you think so," He said before kissing her head happily. "I love you Kale," He added in a whipser as he looked down at her.

Nik sat down in one of his living one chairs and leaned back in his seat. "You're welcome," He replied before he opened his water bottle and took a drink of it.

Pavel watched her. "I've changed before things have changed for me. I'm not the same anymore because I've been heartbroken twice. I can only trust my teammates now," He said.

she turned to look at him "but things don't have to change you pasha. you just assumed they would, and made yourself change. and even if they did change you, the outcome may not always be bad." she said in a soft russian accent

kiri smiled and followed him sitting down next to him.

"That's what you say and quit calling me Pasha. Things do change a person, believe me," Pavel said as he crossed his arms. Let's see. A fricken stranger tells me about my past and then says I don't have to change when things change. Well those things change you, He thought with a shake of his head.

But why? why did you want to be this, surely your mother or father would want there pasture to affect your life pasha, err sorry pavel" she said placing a hand on her hip. "anyway i'm not going to argue with you no more, your to strong willed, always have been, could never win an arguement with you" she said with a sigh, a small smile forcing on the edge of her mouth.

"You don't understand. That's not what changed me," Pavel objected. "Did you not hear me clearly before? Both the girls I thought I loved both left me, you know that hurts too. That changes a person," He said as he turned on his heels getting ready to leave.
