Rory could not say he had not seen it coming. As the Beta wolf shot past him, he tried not to take offense. She was as ready for action as he was at least. Still, if one had escaped Damon's attention while he took it down, there might be more. He had to be certain that it was not an ambush. He kept low and fast, with ears perked and nose inhaling deeply. Suddenly, RIley was by his side as well. The golden-brown wolf looked a lot calmer. Rory snarled. How his friend managed to stay so relaxed during these times of danger was beyond him. He could almost see Riley smirking, and with a grunt Rory turned his attention to the business at hand. Morii had leapt in front of the rogue and Riley and Rory were circling a bit behind it, in case it continued to run. Even with his eyes fixed on the mangy disgusting, lawless, beast Rory kept alert for more. He knew fairly well that Morii would be angry if he interfered, but he made no promises if it looked like an unfair fight.
Riley took this business seriously. He rarely despised anything, but these rogues were getting to be a real nuisance. He stood, relaxed. He watched Morii and the rogue with an observant eye. He could not say he was a great fighter...Heck, that's why he was friends with Rory. His buddy also served as a kind of body guard...Not that he'd tell Rory that.
