Austin's face flamed red as he stepped back out of the door way. He hadn't realized that Elijah had still been awake. He didn't know why he was suddenly so embarrassed, maybe it was because he hadn't tried to help earlier, or because he had just offered to carry a man who was probably very capable of walking himself at the moment. But either way, looking at Elijah he was suddenly very aware of the fact that Kalika was not here. He shifted uncomfortably again, feeling self conscious about his bare chest again as he bowed his head. "Alpha," he started, not entirely sure if he would be able to continue the sentence without breaking into hysterics before he took a deep breath. "May I have permission to go look for Kali? I won't go looking for rogues, I'm not really that much of a fighter..." He hesitated, feeling like he was getting off track.

---

Kalika finally made her way up the porch, and through the door. But she frowned just inside it. Why weren't there people talking? Why couldn't she hear the pups? She took another step forward. "Elijah? Evans? Morii?..." Her voice trailed off as it echoed through the house. "Austin?" She had been afraid to say the name in case he wasn't going to answer. And he didn't. Anther step forward and her foot sank in through the wood. She screamed, the wood snapping and cutting into her leg as she fell. "Damnit!" She yelled, suddenly realizing why she wasn't hearing anyone. This must have been the abandoned house that they had to pass by to get to Evan's house, and she had tracked his scent wrong because she was in human form. She continued to give off a sting of curses as she pulled her leg up and out of the whole and started back out of the house slowly; she could feel the blood sticking to her leg and the bottom of her foot, she didn't like it.

Evans reached out to his packmate, touching his arm with a smile. Then he gave a curt nod before turning and striding off. He dropped to all fours, shifting mid-fall to a wolf, once out of sight of Rory's parents; he figured they'd seen enough wolves for one night. Evans shook himself out, and gave Rory a lop-sided wolf grin, the violent demon he'd been just minutes before completely forgotten. Back to being the cheerful, easy-going Evans, he padded off, heading for his house. He paused where Morii and Elijah had fought, lip curling at the smell of Elijah's blood, then picked up the pace.

Only to slow again as the wind dragged Kalika's scent to him. She was bleeding too, damn it all. He stopped where he was, turning his head to look at Rory and make sure his packmate had smelled the female too, then turned and gave a short, relatively quiet bark. Kalika?

Image
Morii jerked back as Elijah snorted and started talking, then she could suddenly breath again, the small space briefly forgotten. "Oh Elijah, you handsome bastard you!" she said with a grin. "You had me worried for a minute there!" Grinning, she turned to look a Austin. "Don't worry Austin, I'm sure Kali's fine--we'll all go out and find her if she's missing for much longer. Take one of the others--Riley probably--so you aren't just lone-wolfing it out there and go hunt her down and drag her on back, 'lright?" Morii, too relieved over Elijah's being alive, couldn't even muster any anger over the thought of Kalika.

She rose, reaching out to grab Elijah's hand and help haul him to his feet. Her wolf shone in overbright eyes, and the terrified trembling had turn into the occasional shiver of intense relief.

Image
Tika bobbed her head, grateful to him, and glad he wasn't mad at her. She was mad at her. All her life she'd faced danger head on, but suddenly she'd turned into a damn coward now that she was a werewolf. How the hell did that make any sense at all!? Oh well. She stood, gave her shoulder a little lick, then hurried after Chris. Yes, meeting them in human form would be much better. As a human, she could be brave. With clothes on at least. So she slipped into the room, wagging her tail at Chris, then shifted. Which had her instantly blushing but never mind that. She didn't quite snatch a shirt and sweatpants from him, grinning sheepishly as she hastily tucked into them with her back to him; even if he didn't seem concerned over her unclothed state, she'd rather not see all of him at the moment. Her poor heart was disturbed enough, thank you kindly.

Kalika jumped, a small squeak like scream worming it's way up her throat. "Evans?" She blinked once and then started to look around, even though it was pointless. Her hands were searching, trying to find him. "Where are you?" She'd called a little loud, just to make sure he had heard her if he wasn't in the immediate area. Oh she was probably going to end up hurting herself again. She was not used to being blind... Her hand pressed against a tree trunk, thankful that she hadn't run into it, and headed to where she thought she could hear him shifting around in the trees.

---

Austin nodded to Morii, stepping away from the door and moving into the living room, though he couldn't sit down. He was too edgy... He knew something was wrong, he didn't know how to explain it but he just knew.

((Blah, writers block for him...))

Rory waited until they were well away from his home before he shifted. The clothes he didn't mind losing at this point, or ever really. They were just sweatpants and a t-shirt. Elijah's blood hit his nose like a wave. As he had thought, Morii's urgency had to do with the alpha being injured. It smelled strong and fresh. They must have been coming this way when they heard about the rogues at his house. The dark-furred wolf gritted his teeth, wishing now that he had handled him himself. But even if he could have, he could been seriously injured and that did not do the Pack any good. Putting his guit about the injury aside, he stepped up his pace as well. A different scent of blood soon followed on the breath of night's wind. He gave a strong sniff and nodded to Evans. Definitely Kalika.

He approached with caution, following her scent trail, but she soon appeared arounbd a tree in human form. Rory gave a firm bark to let his packmate know they were there. Why was she human? Why was she pawing around trees. He walked forward and brushed his fur against her leg. I'm right here. Can't you see me? he thought, aware that she couldn't understand him unless she shifted. He was reluctant to leave his wolf form in case any rogues decided to take their chances against the three of them, especially one injured and human.

((Sorry guys, I probably missed a bunch, but I won't be on much...))

Aurora silently nodded and slipped out of the room, she went to see if they needed any help in the kitchen and Damon put her to work cutting up patatoes/ She immersed herself in it, making her mind blank except for the cutting of the kife through the patatoe. She hoped Elijah was okay, but she tried not to think about it, she focused on the potato again so she wouldn't cut herself as she worked.

Damon hummed happily as he started the burners and began to grill the burgers, soon the whole first floor was filled with the smell of hamburgers. As they cooked her cut up some onigns and began to cook them aswell, it smelled like a babrbeque. Damon hoped they would all like the food, he didn't want his pack mates starving. He went to the freezer and grabbed some steaks to cook as well, he would have to pay Evans back for the food.

Cira worked quietly, focused on making the burgers round, she listened to Damon hum and smiled sheepishly. "I-I hope e-e-everyone is hungry" she said lightly as she kept working happily, she was glad to help. Selia snuck in beside her and started to help secretly, she figured that Cira knew she was helping but didn't say anything about it. She took the burgers and started to make them rounder. Cira smiled softly she was happy that her sister didn't say anything.

"I would've been just fine after a nap. It was just a little bite, nothing to get worked up about." Elijah laughed softly and set a hand on her shoulder once he was standing. He glanced at Austin, a small smile traced on his lips. "Of course. Go find her. It's getting late anyways. I don't want her out there, not in the condition she's in." He said with a small nod. "I'm getting some clothes. Everyone meet in the living room." He murmured before walking out of the restroom.

Elijah pulled at the strings of his sweatpants and picked up a shirt from the top shelf. It's been a while since he'd worn one of these. Just as he was about to slip it on, a new scent hit his nose. He paused, then looked down the hallway, his brow pulled together. Tossing the shirt aside, he walked after the scent, his wolf screaming one word at him. Intruder!
~
Better look away from the shy little wolf. Christopher sighed and turned around before she shifted. He should've gotten dressed himself, but he was distracted by the small sounds she made as she moved. Fool! Dress yourself. Oh. Right. Chris put on the pants and shirt, then turned to Tika, smiling sheepishly. "What are you so nervous about?" He questioned, moving up from behind her. He crossed his arms on top of her head and looked down at her, his green eyes soft. "Look," He murmured, cocking his head a bit. "You're blushing." He laughed, but it was cut short by the door swinging open. Elijah stood in the doorway, his eyes instantly locking on Tika. "Oh." He sighed heavily and rubbed his forehead. "I thought you were a rogue." He mumbled before shooting a glare at Chris. "Who's this?" He asked, his question directed towards Tika but his eyes hard on the other wolf.

Austin nodded to Elijah, mumbling a quick thank you. "I'll be back soon; she shouldn't be too hard to find." He took off, running out of the house. He had no way of explaining to Elijah just how grateful he was to be looking for her. He shifted as soon as he was off the porch, using his nose to track her down. She was bleeding again. "Evans? Rory?" He asked curiously as he came up beside them. Had they found Kali?

He looked over, frowning at Kalika. "Why isn't she a wolf?" He muttered sourly before barking at her.

Kalika jumped, squeaking again as the fur pressed against her leg. "Someone shift. I can't see!" She wanted to be able to hear someone explain something to her, and she wanted to get back to somewhere she could sit down. Austin, hearing that, shifted quickly and took her reaching hand. "You can't see? Why not?"
"Austin!" Kalika almost screamed, launching herself at him and was surprised when she felt him against her so soildy, she hadn't thought she would miss him until she had jumped, but she hadn't. "I saw my mom. She took my sight to teach me a lesson I suppose. Take me out of here?"

Austin nodded, and then looked at Evans and Rory. "Come on back to your house Evans, Elijah's awake and wants everyone to meet in the living room." He said quickly, picking up Kalika and carrying her back into Evans. He was through the door quickly as he had run there and brought her into the bathroom like Morii had done for Elijah. "Kali can't see!" He yelled, snorting after he did so.

{{ -grumbles- you'll have to pardon my replies being relatively crappy as hell; I'm afraid I'm just sucking lately. }}

Image
Well she was walking and talking; that was good. But...she was stumbling. A lot. He whined fretfully, padding towards his packmates hastily, shifting to human on the way. If Kali was in human form still, there was probably a reason. "Kalika?" he asked gently, the way he sometimes crooned to his kids. Carefully he set a hand on her shoulder and met her gaze. Or at least, he tried to. Her eyes didn't focus on him--or anything else for that matter. He frowned and moved his hand to her cheek. Only to jerk away as Austin appeared. He made a face, letting his eyelids lower to conceal his expression as he watched the pair. Evans was not happy. In fact, he was irritated. But he would keep that to himself for now. Instead of commenting, he just coughed before trotting after them, his lack of particular haste the only sign of his displeasure, and that could easily be counted off as general exhaustion since he had done a lot of bloody running about today and it was getting old. Really, really old.

Image
Morii shifted out of Elijah's way, smiling as she watched him walk off. Great. Fantastic. GET OUT. Right. She jolted out of the bathroom, closing the door abruptly behind her. Without a glance at anyone--at all--she grabbed clothes from the mildly depleted clothes closet, then ducked into a random room. A large room. The pups' bedroom, actually. With the door closed behind her, she promptly sat down on the floor and sunk her teeth into her poor defenseless knuckle. Well then, maybe she'd just sit in here for a couple minutes. Elijah was awake, the pack was generally together; she could have a few minutes to get herself back under control.

Or not. She stuffed herself into the clothes in record time, opening the door and stepping back through, looking calm and collected and totally in control. She padded to the bathroom again, leaning against the door and crossing her arms. "Austin, check for injury--namely on her head. Don't panic; I'll hit you--" she meant it too. Morii was not tolerating anything at the moment apparently. "You're her...brother-thing--"she made 'brother-thing' sound like an actual title, and a good one at that--"so you can sew her up if she needs it. Since she probably reopened her wounds, you'll probably need to. Just go ahead and get rid of my bandaging and check it all over. We've got plenty of bandages."

Morii was annoyed, and not bothering to hide it. Angry, in fact. But she was efficient and that was what mattered. Heaven help anyone that gave her [censored] for her bad mood though.

Image
Tika blushed even redder. What an absolute brat her new friend was. She tilted her head to give him a pout. "Yes. I am blushing," she said sulkily. "And I'm nervous because, in case you haven't noticed, most of your packmates could eat me for breakfast and use my bones as toothpicks." Not that she honestly thought they would, and it distinctly didn't sound like she thought it either; it was mostly just grumpy mumblings in response to Chris lounging on her. And pointing out her blush. Which he had caused in the first place. But, whether she meant the words or not, fate decided to make a point. The door flew open and what little daring she'd remembered she normally had ran for the hills. Traitor. She squeaked and pressed herself back against Chris, whining. Which was just terrible. It was bad enough she whined as a wolf, but now she was whining as a human too? What total crap. She wondered if they was a werewolf hotline she could call and complain to. Probably not.

On the bright side, her strange line of thought did help her get her bearings a bit. She ducked her head--looking at the alpha made her feel panicky, so she'd just stare at the floor for now--and cleared her throat quietly.

"I'm...um...Tika." Yeah, that about summed it up. Good job, Tika. Way to realize how small and insignificant you are. "I guess I just...moved in to town?" Very decisive. I have swum with piranhas and played with hyenas, and now I can't even introduce myself. Oi.
