Evans looked down at him self, almost as surprised as Rory to see himself in human form. He glanced toward Rory's parents. Oops. Right. They probably weren't appreciating the show much. Oh well. They'd get over it. He nodded briskly as Rory's words. Alright. That made sense. But why Morii--oh right. Morii was beta now. Well, apparently she'd taken to the job quite nicely. He politely stood back, eyes lowered, as Rory's parents said their goodbyes. He lifted his head and smiled warmly at the woman, appreciating her words.
"Thank you, ma'am," he said, voice low. Soothing even. "We'll do our best to get rid of these..mongrels." His jaw tightened for a moment, then he smiled at her again. "And we'll take good care of Rory. He's pack, after all." Then he looked expectantly at Rory, with a gaze that clearly said ready to go? He wouldn't rush Rory; after all, he'd give a lot for just the chance to say goodbye to his parents. But he was jittery, and it showed. He needed his pack. His pack needed him. What was more, his pups needed him. And he needed his pups.
Pups
Georgia whined, resting her head on Riley's foot. Her tail which had been so wildly wagging just moments before was firmly tucked away, her ears laid back, and she lay there by his feet, looking absolutely forlorn. When Ranger whined again, she lifted her head, then whined at Riley before standing up and scrambling up onto the couch to curl up with Ranger.

Morii glanced at Austin, her anger at him forgotten. Stitches. Yes, damn it all, Elijah needed stitches. But...well, Austin didn't look like he was in any state to do stitches. Oh he could probably have straightened up to the task if he needed to, but he didn't. So she laid a hand on his shoulder and told him in a voice with an undercurrent of a wolf's growl, "We will get the pups."
Then she made a little shooing motion with her hand. "Go. Sit. This bathroom is too small for everyone to be in here." Her gaze shifted to Aurora as she pressed a wad of gauze down on Elijah's neck. "Yes. He'll be fine," she said confidently, because if he wasn't she'd follow him into the afterlife, kick his ass and bring him back. Okay, an unrealistic idea, but thinking of violence was easier than sorrow.
She broke into a medical kit--literally; she couldn't figure out the latch quickly enough so she just broke it--and got out a sterilized needle, breaking it free of its packaging and hastily threading it. At least she wouldn't have to heat it up; she'd done that before, and it really just made things so much worse. Holding the needle carefully, she removed the gauze, growled over all the fur on Elijah's damn neck, then pushed her fingers through the matted stuff to find the bite. She needed to shave his neck really, but if they tried they'd probably hurt him in the process. Note to self; get the pack a vet. They needed a new healer, one that had proper training for these sorts of things. In the meantime, she would just have to make do. First though...
She leaned down to growl in Elijah's ear, "If you're awake, Alpha, turning into a human right about now would help a whole hell of a lot. Otherwise I'm so waxing you in all the places you really don't want me to."

Tika relaxed when Chris licked her cheek, but still kept him between herself and the stranger. Without a question, although she had just about a million, she hurried after him when he started off again. Her forepaws hurt. Her hindpaws--her feet--were fine; she'd done a lot of barefoot running in her life. But her hands had never been abused quite like this. She ignored the pain; they'd toughen up eventually. She blinked at Chris's wagging tail. Well that was good. Odd, but good. She liked Chris happy.
Er...except...She whined, stopping just outside the door. Lots of wolves. Well [censored]. Her head and tail low, she wanted to run. But...Chris was there. And, her logical mind insisted, it was safest there. If she just went running blindly through the forest(again), she'd wind up caught by a rogue(again). Yes, it was definitely safer just to stay with Chris. But no matter what she told her wolf, she was glued to that spot, staring with enormous eyes into the house. Until Aurora appeared behind her, then she made a distressed sound, panting with the stress, and all but leaped forward to press herself tightly against Chris, putting her head underneath his with a whine.
