Where the Road Parts

A handful of werewolves live in the small town of Shadow Hill, Ohio. They have lived along side the humans and blend in well with the population. That is, until rogues started showing up in the town. The current pack can't do anything to help, not without exposing themselves to the humans. But the numbers of missing people are growing, and the townspeople aren't safe in their own homes... Will the wolves save the town that they've called home for so long and risk sharing their secret? Or will they remain in the shadows and wait for the rogues to pass? It's your choice. This is Where the Road Parts.

- No one is perfect. You can't make every hit perfect or barrel through a million wolves on your own. 
- Werewolves are stronger, faster, and have more keen senses than humans. They don't need a full moon to change. Shifting is controllable, but it can be brought on by powerful emotions. When in wolf form, the pack has a mind link. Pictures and words can be shared through this type of communication. Body language is important.

Description: Elijah was forced into his position at a young age after his parents were killed by loners that were passing through their town. He became closed off, both in human and wolf form, but he cares for his pack the best he can. He is close to no one and is seen as a powerful leader with an unfazable heart. Despite that, he is extremely protective of every member of his pack, and would put his life on the line for any one of them. He has a warm and sensitive heart under his shield but the fear of being hurt again kept his armor arm, closing himself off from any sort of affection.

He can get hurt by the smallest things, most of the ones in his old pack picked on him because of it. Chris can be quiet and a little shy, but his voice is always confident. He holds grudges and doesn't always forgive easily, and since it's easy for him to lose his trust in others, he hasn't had many friends. Christopher tried to make anything and everything around him happy. He can be serious though, he can tell when something is wrong and he goes into 'protective' mode. Description: Cira is a shy person, she doesn't fight at all, infact she hates fighting a tends to stay away from the streets, which she grew up in with her sister, at all costs. She likes the peaceful life but she would love to have someone to love. She's not always the bravest person, she tends to stay hidden most of the time but with her hair colour she's isn't easy to hide. But when you get to know her better she opens up more and is a very kind person, she loves to help others when she isn't to scared to. Despite her past she is wants more then anything to start over again and live her life a new. Cira is also a little bit curious and very clumsy, she often will trip because of her lack of sight, but once she is used to the area she gets around fine. Cira is anything but mean, she's shy, kind and caring for all, but she is very hard on herself believing she will never be good enough for anything she has a hard time accepting herself to be a good person and never thinks about herself as anything but useless. She loves being able to help others despite how afraid she often is. She also has a huge crush on the Alpha.

Description: Selia isn't a nice person, she's sadistic and often likes to be alone. Because of her past, she finds herself untrusting towards almost everyone. Selia doesn't even try to be nice, she constantly pushes everyone away from her and has a swift tongue to boot. Her tongue sharp and cold to everyone she meets. Her tone as harsh and cold as ice. On the inside she believes herself to be a monster hidden in the beauty of an angel. Rude, mean, sometimes self-centered, she truly doesn't care for anyone, hardly even herself. She's always trying to pick fights and will give any reason to swipe at something. Selia may have the beauty of a rose, but watch out, this rose has plenty of thorns. However this may be, Selia oddly enough has a soft side for her sister, she blames herself for what happened in the past and will always try to comfort her, and can get over-protective of her. To everyone else she is hateful and angry and refuses to work with anyone who won't listen to her. She never listens to authority, and often tends to ignore what others are saying. But if you were to even give Cira a odd look she would kick your butt faster then you could ever even say ow.

As a human, Morii is tall and well-formed and, though not a stunning beauty, the sort of person that people remember. She has a presence, the presence of a dominant. Even mere humans find their eyes drawn to her, drawn to wolf gold eyes and stark black hair. Her skin is warm to the touch, warmer than most, and she is quick with a smile. What the humans watching don't realize is that her elegance, her grace, her way of seeming to dance as she walks, is the result of a lifetime spent fighting, and being very, very good at it. She is inclined towards "jeans and a t-shirt" at any time when she cannot get away without the jeans--a wolf does not like her legs bound. When her eyes turn to the blue of her wolf, her wolf has surfaced and is considering whether or not to come out.

Description:

Morii is dominant--very, very dominant. She is a woman and a wolf geared toward protecting the weaker, and dealing swiftly and remorselessly with any challengers. The pack she was born to was killed by hunters when she was very little, while she hid in a crawl space with her fist stuffed in her mouth and tried not to make any noise. By the time the hunters left, she was so drenched in terror that it was all she could do to reach for the latch on the door--only to find the door was stuck. She was trapped in that crawlspace, clawing at the door until her wolf nails broke and her tiny human fingers were bloody, until a wild wolf came along and tore open the door. She spent seven years living with those wolves, fighting any werewolf who dared come into her territory with violence in mind. When she was twelve though, a werewolf passing by told her about another pack--a little pack to the southeast, for Morii was a Montana girl, that would probably welcome another member. So she set out for Ohio, and joined the pack when she was sixteen. That is to say, of course, that Morii has only been with the pack for a year. During her travels to Ohio, she spent some time attending a handful of human schools to obtain enough knowledge that she wouldn't seem like an idiot, as the werewolf she'd met had advised her. Along the way, she also fought and, in some cases, killed more than a few werewolves, and humans stupid enough to think that a lone girl was an easy target.
Morii is loyal to the bone, and when asked "will we save this town", her response is obvious--It's our town, isn't it? Besides, Morii has no intention of losing another home. Morii has kept her history to herself, generally portraying a rather happy person, though it is not rare that she decides to go running as a wolf by herself, keeping her thoughts and feelings locked away from others, or sits on the roof at night as a human and thinks unhappy thoughts.
Morii is particularly maternal, and overprotective of anyone and anything she considers "hers".

Description:

Evans is a charmer, and a playboy. Well, at least, he used to be. Until one day, after a week-long run away from the pack, he stumbled upon a pair of orphaned red wolf pups. He spent half a day looking for their mother and, well, he found her. In the back of someone's truck. The pups' whining kept him from taking care of the poacher, and the knowledge that a wolf's kill would mean more wolf deaths. So he brought the pups home with the intention of handing them off to someone more capable. Unfortunately for his "image", not only did the pups imprint on him like ducklings, he became attached to them over the two weeks it took the three of them to get home, versus his week to get there. He has been raising the little brats since then, and they appear to be around four months old now and weaned. And potty trained for good measure. Morii often teases him about his newly developed 'mother hen' tendencies.
Evans is still charming, but he doesn't flirt much anymore. He's officially harmless.
Evans has always been loyal and protective--one might say overprotective even. He loves his pack, he loves his packmates, and now, he loves his pups.

Description:

Tika is small--barely five feet tall--with huge blue eyes, a mess of curly copper hair, and a personality as sweet as sugar with a heady dose of energy. She's bouncy, playful, happy and generally inclined toward glomping. Her father is a famous photographer, her mother an equally famous painter, and Tika is--well--Tika. She loves to garden, she has an amazing singing voice, and she habitually falls flat on her face when there's nothing to trip on. Most of her life was spent traveling the world, but her parents have--on a whim--decided to settle down in this small town, so their recently-turned-were daughter can enjoy the woods. They, unfortunately, hadn't heard about the deaths.
Tika, for her part, is already well-adjusted to being wolf sometimes. Well, at least, she's good at pretending she is. And if she's maybe a little less willing to turn into a wolf than most, and if she doesn't like to talk about how she got turned, well, that's up to her now isn't it.

Tall and lanky, his blond hair is sometimes floppy but when he cuts it he likes it spiked. He usually wears loose jeans and zany t-shirts. He likes black band bracelets and string necklaces with bone, tooth, coin, charms. Flip-flops are not uncommon foot wear for him, even in Ohio.

Description: He’s bitter, but his sarcasm always comes with a cool smirk or an eerie smile. His movements are all relaxed and graceful. Grace is important to him, and forgiveness comes easy. He’s the fool who is unfoolish. Witty in the ways of the ever-changing social structures, he tries not to anchor himself to anyone, but still be within the pack. He moved up to Ohio from Florida, when he was ten. His parents are alive and well, also werewolves, but for the most part they’ve retreated to dull human life. They don’t pay attention to Riley and his Pack much. Riley used to be really popular with humans a few years ago, but as of late he’s taken to distancing himself from them.

He wears black attire, but actually designs a lot of his own shirts that have real meaning. His pants are either black jeans or plain jeans. Metallic belts, or belts with bone designs, are not uncommon. Leather jacket. Black sneakers.

Description: He has no recollection of his real parents, because he was too young when they died. For a brief period of time he was raised by a male loner werewolf before being placed into foster care. He was taken in by foster parents at nine. His foster Dad is a musician and former activist, but moved them to Ohio to settle down. His foster mom runs a restaurant. His foster parents have just become aware of his condition and keep a weary distance of him, afraid of what he’ll do if they try and send him back. After all, Rory has an aggressive streak as it is. He has isolated himself because he has seen the hypocrisy of human society and is appalled by it. He doesn’t quite understand why they have to try and fit in. And if the humans are in danger, why can’t they fend for themselves? Don’t humans claim to be the dominant species on Earth? His friendship with Riley is a somewhat strained one. Although Rory once defended Riley from a violent rogue, he is still mildly irritated by Riley’s antics.

Description: She is a devoted pack wolf, and she would do anything for them, she is much like their leader in the sense she is guarded, although she is cold to everyone and questions most compliments she gets. She wishes she didn't have parents, but her father is still alive, and after his mate was killed in a skirmish in the pack he hates them, and that includes his daughter. He has rejected her and whenever she goes home he is very... unkind. She spends most of her time in the woods as a wolf, her only escape.
