Derek and his lupine crawled off a short distance from Ani and Gabe before lifting themselves off the ground and trotting away quickly. A long time ago, Ani was the one that was daunted by Derek's dominance. Now it was the other way around, except that Derek was terrified of what power she can possess. He had never seen a female wolf so dominant as Ani was.. Derek thoughts were taken away from Ani as he sensed Char's presence. Immediatly, his lupine tail lashed drastically, displaying his blissfulness of her return. Derek saunters over to her, giving her a welcoming nuzzle. "We managed to get Gabe back," He told her, knowing that she would want to be filled in on what had occured while she was absent.

Char gave a sleepy looking nod, as though she'd been asleep for ages. "So we aren't going to implode anymore?" She asked, her voice tinged with humor. She was mad at her wolf, but she knew that it was necessary. She had needed to heal and the more wolf there was, the easier it was to do so. Her vocal chords felt unused but that was to be expected. She had been only a wolf for a long while, though she was sure that the wolf had wished her to be gone for a longer amount of time. She gave him a gentle nuzzle back and sat down in the relative comfort of the tree trunk behind her.

Derek gave a small chuckle at her humorous question, already feeling more at ease since the battle. After ensuring that Sarah and the rest of the pack were safe in the barn, Derek let his frame rest on the ground beside Char's, lowering his muzzle down onto his paws. "So your wound is healed now?" He asks her in a small grunt, letting his eyes look over at Char. Derek can sense that no pain was within Char's abdomen, so the wound must be either fully or nearly healed.

[[Eh. My muse went for another vacation.. -.-]]

"Yessir," Char said, her voice a drawl. She suddenly remembered something that put both excitement and fear into her soul, the one thing that meant more to her than pack. "Tomorrow night is the full moon," she said, her words coming out with a puff of steam with the cold. Tomorrow Alex would change, alpha and beta would be declared, and punishments would be given if needed. She didn't think Ani would make Persephone, since the recent events were bad enough. Tomorrow they had to declare an alpha and settle matters. They needed to have a leader.

Derek softly chuckled once again, gently giving Char's flank a nudge. Tomorrow's the full moon.. At last, he murmured inwardly, feeling his lupine suddenly awaken, feeling much more energy then ever before. A leader will be chosen. As will a beta. And little Alex will become a lycan, part of the pack. Hopefully Ani would be up on her two feet tomorrow. The full moon should drastically accelerate her healing process, but her internal wounds would need some work. Other than that, Ani was good to go. Derek gave a wolfish grin at his thoughts, his tail thumping against the ground a bit.

Char felt a bit...playful. And devious. Sure, yesterday her exploits had probably caused a lot of problems, but they were in the middle of the woods and the danger was now past. She nipped his shoulder playfully and ran away from him, daring him to follow her. "Come and get me!" She said before dashing into the cover of the trees. Come and get me indeed, her lupine purred. They were mates after all. Nothing odd about that.

Derek went still when he sensed a mood change in Char, and knew that it wasn't something good. [xD] Just as he was about to lift his head to look at her, Char had nipped at his shoulder and dashed off. He lays there for a few moments, dazed, and was wrenched from his trance when his lupine finally spoke out. Go after her, you nitwit! His lupine chuckled, and Derek immediatly leaped onto his limbs, digging his talons into the ground as he bolted on forward. Derek quickly whips his tail gently against Char's muzzle before dashing around in a few circles, halting to bow down while waggling his haunches in the air. He freezes once again, then barks, darting ino the thicket. At times, Char brought out the childish side of him..

Char barked at him and took off, catching back up to him with a series of dashes, leaps, and bounds. She was now right behind him and latched onto his tail with her jaws, though only lightly. She refused to move by sitting down, a wolfish grin behind the fluff of his tail. Got you now! Lupa said, acting just as childish as her mate. It wasn't normal for her to act this way, but she could when she wanted to. With a quick movement, she flung a large pile of snow straight into his face.

Derek had been bounding forward, when suddenly small jaws grabbed onto the tip of his tail. He responds by pulling on his tail gently, swinging his head around to look back at Char. Furrowing his wolven brows in a playful scowl, Derek lets out a soft squeak/grunt, waggling his haunches a bit in an attempt to free his tail. Oh really? Derek's lupine purred to Lupa, making Derek scrape the snow right into Char's face. Snickering, Derek's amusement was short-lived when Char flung snow into his face. Grumbling playfully, Derek removes his tail from Char's jaws, and dives into a massive pile of snow, taking shelter beneath it.

Char and lupa jumped on top of Derek-wolf with a growl, nipping his ears and putting their dead weight on him. "Squish, squish, squish," she said, laughing. He was hers. And she wasn't going to let him up either. "Bet ya can't get up mister," she said, sprawling on him. She knew she was heavy, seeing as all wolves were more dense than normal humans. A plan suddenly formed inside her head and she took a bit of snow, putting it into his ears. The ears were the easiest to make cold. That was why they were the perfect spot for her to plan her trap...Brain freeze!
