Karya had her headphones on, listening to some of her favorite music; Monster by Meg & Dia, If I Die Young by The Band Perry, Malchik Gay by T.a.t.u., and the Last Ones Standing Remix by Example to name a few. She was singing to the music softly while sitting in her room when her little brother burst through the door and breaking her away from her music. She paused the music on her IPod and pulled the headphones out, glaring at her giggling brother, "What do you want!? I was busy you know." He smiled and tossed a white envelope her way, "I saw your name on it and thought you would want it. There's one just like it for Kimira. Don't worry, I didn't give her hers yet." Rya smiled and read the front, she almost threw it aside when she noticed the name on the front, Kangen Academy. Oh my god. Rya then looked up and saw her brother still standing there looking at her eagerly. She rose an eyebrow, "Do you have Kimira's letter?" He nodded and she smiled, holding out her hand, "I'll give it to her." "Fine." he replied and handed the letter over, she glanced at the name as she stood up, Kangen Academy. This is it. I wonder if we got accepted or not. As she walked down the hall to her sister's room she got more and more anxious, biting her lip. What if we didn't get accepted? What if we did? What if mom and dad decide that we can't go? What about Kasey and Henry? How will they take it? Not getting to see us for a while...
Kimira played with the piano in her room, practicing the new peice One Winged Angel when a knock came from the door. "Busy!" She called. "Not busy enough, let me in." Karya replied. Kimira glared at the door, "Why? Its not like someone died." "Someone died right now. And now. And-" "Ok, you take it way to literally. Fine. Come in."
Karya looked at the door for a moment, and then opened it, stepping into her sister's room. It was cozy, nice light colors. Nothing like Rya's own. "They replied." She said, handing Kimira the letter, "Ready?" Kimira took the letter, almost giving Karya a paper cut. She really didn't care and the two opened them at the same time, skimming them. As they read the smiles grew on their faces, and then the looked up at eachother and said at the same time, "I got in!" The two looked back down at it, making sure it was true and then rushed downstairs.
The first one down was Karya, as she should be. She was in gymnastics, Tae kwon do, AND on the cross country team. Kimira was in ballet and gymnastics, but not nearly as athletic as her sister. Both got to the counter where her mom was working in the kitchen when Kimira noticed she still had the letter in her hand. "We got in!" Karya said, her eyes sparkling. Their mother looked up from the meal she was cooking quirking an eyebrow. "Got in? In where?" Kimira cut her sister off, "THE ACADEMY! WE GOT IN TO KANGEN!" Their mother smiled, excitement on her face. "Awesome! When do you leave. Not that I'm ready to get rid of you two but-" "We leave Friday." Karya replied. Henry walked in, holding his sister Kasey's hand and halping her walk, "Leave to where?" Kasey looked at them, "Ow wong?" Karya looked at their mom, who understood. After all, why should they have to be punished with the siblings' waterworks? This was an honor, a privilege. The two ran upstairs to their rooms and were packing before the wailing of their baby sister reached them.
