Keith hardly glanced up from where he lay across the bed "Might as well come in"

Sapphire sighed and opened Keith's door and shut it behind her. "Keith, you're grounded for two weeks,' she told him, trying to keep stern. 'I don't like you running off with out permision," she said, sighing softly. "You know the terms," she said,watching for Keith's reaction.

Keith shrugged and rolled over to look out his window.

"Keith can you tell me why you go off like that?" Sapphire asked, trying to be less stern.

Keith glanced at her, "And how would you like be trapped in this house all day?" he was nearly screaming "Dad's hardly ever home.....Maybe I go simply for the quiet, a chance to acuatlly be noticed"

"I'm sorry that you feel that way," Sapphire said calmly. "It's hetic right now and your dad is having some troubling times at work," she explained. "Don't you think if we didn't care we wouldn't come looking for you today?" she asked.

"Today? Why because you just got out?" he turne dback to the window "You didn't bother before"

Sapphire sighed and nodded. "I'm sorry Keith, but it's been a rough time lately," she said. "Before I was getting used to staying at home and being fired form my teaching job," she said, trying to smile a little. "I'll see you at supper," she said, before heading downstairs again. Slumping against the couch, she looked at Steven and shrugged silently. "He's upset, because he says he wasn't noticed before," she told Steven and closed her eyes.
