Nene: She fled form the battle even though she wanted to take out her anger and sadness out on the vampire. She knew that Eztli would take care of it and she followed Rune's screams even though it pained her to hear them. She reached a locked door with had an I.D card authorization scanner. There was a guard over around the corner and she snuck up on him. Her hand quickly dispatched him with a swift chop to the neck. The ID tag hung loosely from his limp neck and she took it without thinking. Her hand shaking, she slid the card under the scanner and the door opened.

Æsc was barely conscious and covered in blood, he barely even looked like himself. A man in the room with him a viscous looking electrical tool spun and looked at her. His brow furrowed, "What are you doing? You can't be in here. He looked at an observation window on the far side of the room and pointed at her. A large man nodded and vanished out the side door. The scientist, a rather small man, turned and glared at her, "You should leave or we'll remove you by force."

Nene: Her expression turned to a glare. "How about I remove you by force?" A fireball spun from her hand and lashed right into his chest. She ran over to the table where Rune was, barely standing to look at his bloody wounds. "Æsc?! I'm here, I'll get you out of here, I promise." She angrily shook her head as tears started to flow. This wasn't a time for crying! She started to cut through the restraints with her teeth, careful not to bite his skin. She decided that she could heal him later as she hoisted him carefully into her arms.

Æsc didn't look at her as she spoke to him, and being as the table was still in the upright position he started to fall when she cut his straps before she caught him. He feebly tried to push her away but wasn't exactly at his strongest. "I told you to go home," he said in a hoarse voice. He didn't even look up as the large man walked into the room carrying a gun which he had point at Nene's head.

Nene: She looked at him with soft eyes. "I couldn't leave you alone, and besides Eztli and Cavan came too." She quickly grabbed the gun from the man and hit him with the butt of the handle, sending him flying across the room.

"Didn't seem to be too hard last time," Æsc said not looking at her. He coughed and winced as the man went flying and then said, "Not human," as the man quickly got to his feet. He ran at them but stopped when there was a call of, "Watch it!" from nearby. He spun and a section of wall slammed into him and pretty much splatted him against another wall. The fight between the light- and shadow-weavers had found it's way down the hall and was reeking havoc on the building. They quickly moved away again and Cavan followed at a safe distance, seeming to enjoy the battle. He looked in the door way and said, "Get him out now, most the personal will be evacuating or failing in the attempt to stop the two of them." He then moved away again, following his sister and releasing other "experiments" on the way.

Nene: His comment stung her but she turned and ran, carefully holding Rune, her pain showing on her face. "Do you want to be rescued or not?"

"What's the point?" Æsc replied through gritted teeth as every movement hurt. He wouldn't've said so but he'd been hoping to die here as he didn't think there was much else to live for.

Nene: "Rune! Stop thinking like that, I'm rescuing you for a reason..." She swallowed her emotions. They quickly ducked through an opening in the wall and suddenly they were outside.
