Allie smiled at him then hid from him in the covers.

Quinton grinned and pulled the covers up over his head to go after her with an evil laugh.

Nene: *sighs* On to the next class. *she stands also*

"Lunch actually," Æsc said as he threw his books into his bag.

"Here," Fintan said handing her a piece of paper.
She looked at the phone number written on it and said, "You couldn't've given me this before school?"
Not answering the question Fintan continued talking, "Now, he doesn't like girls, vampires, or half-breeds. So you're going to have to show him you can really hold your own to get him to listen, if you need a reference I'll vouch for you but otherwise don't mention me. He will pay you for each hit but it'll be a small fee with weak opponents to start with. Don't complain he'll drop you in a second. If you have a suggestion you wait until you earn his respect, which will take a while, and then approach him as an equal, neither of you better or lesser than the other. Got that?"
"Got it," she grinned.

Amanda stayed silent throughout the conversation, preferring to keep her mouth shut for this one. She wondered who the guy was that Fintan was talking about, but just shrugged and bit her tongue back from asking who -what- he was.

"Any questions?" Fintan asked.
Jayna pondered for a minute then asked, "How long did it take you to move up in ranks?"
"I moved faster than you will, but slower than most of the hunters being that I was human."
She nodded, "Well, I can't think of anything else at the moment. Can I call you if have any questions?"
Fintan shook his head, "I don't have a phone."
"What? Why not."
"Well, up until this weekend I couldn't talk and up until about a week ago my brother, who I spent all my time around was the only person I knew, so I had no need for one."
"Well, then you should get one now."
"Doubt it," he waved over his shoulder as he turned around, "Don't get yourself killed."
"Right, thanks." She turned and climbed back into the bed of her truck.

Quinton's smiled grew closer to hers as he leaned just his head into her kiss.

"Well, ever since we lost our senses we had to be around to translate for each other, we haven't been out of each other's site for years, so it's really weird to not need him nearby."

Peryn nodded. "Old habits die hard, eh?"

Gawain chuckled, "I guess so. I wonder if he's with Amanda."

"Lunch time!" Cavan said excitedly as he ran up to Kiah.

Æsc waited till most of the students had left the room so he didn't get swept up in their wake then left the room and made his way to his locker where he threw in all his books.
