Alex looked at Bella. "how did you know about her?" he said I'n shock. His eyes softened but stayed black. They looked cold and lifeless but his aura was just angry and mad.

Bella didn’t smirk. “Shane told me everything,” she said, arms crossing. “And before you made me your girlfriend you should have—I would’ve understood the load I was carrying. Maybe I would’ve had to think about it first.” She turned away from him.

Alex's eyes changed back to brown. He sighed. "no their two different things. Each one has their own issues" he said trying to make the situation better than it was. "it's just your different. I don't know. You just seem like a tough soul that you won't get yourself killed and you won't breakup with me but when you talk about Scottie..." he trailed off. "it makes me feel like you should leave me and go with him" he finished, his voice cracking.

Bella didn’t turn around. She would not give him the same satisfaction Scottie got when he saw her face after fights. “Alex, if this is going to work, we need to be brutally honest about each others’ lives,” she said calmly, her eye still amber.

"i know" Alex said as he hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry" he apologized softly. He didn't mean to hurt her. He just was stressed and stress isnt good with children of hades.

Bella pulled away. “I’m not . . . touchable right now, as you can see,” she said evenly, but at the end her voice cracked a little. “I need some time to think about what just happened—probably because I don’t like it.” She thought another moment. “Close your eyes for a second.”

Alex nodded and did as he was told. He shut his eyes tightly and just listened to the putter patter of the rain hitting everywhere around him. He listened to some birds rustling I'n their nests. All his senses were completely open. He stopped breathing though.
