Fern detaches Ryder's saber from his belt. "Why did you fall? Was it for her?" He hands the saber to Ariella. He didn't know exactly how Ryder would react and he wanted the Senator armed should he decide to attack.

Talan smiles at all the faces around her. One of the Jedi Master's rises. "You are not welcome in these chambers, Sith." Steps further into the room, bowing to Master Kamia. "You stand in the face of a war that has been wagged for millenia. Yet you treat it as though it is a war that you must choose to face for the first time. The Sith fleet is coming. They have amassed from planets within the Inner Rim as well as outside. It will take them time to organize but within three weeks time, they will be here. I do not ask you whether you will fight. I ask if I will be permitted to defend your Order beside you."
