Introduction:

For centuries, Runaway Island has been a safe haven for teenagers with special powers and teenagers whom are mythological creatures. No one can be sure how Runaway Island was created, some believing that it was originally created by the gods themselves in ancient times, while others believe that it was just a pure coincidence that the island was founded. Though no one can be exactly sure of it's past, they still live on the island in peace and are quite thankful for the safe haven having been founded. Though, there is a danger on the horizon...

For a few months now, runaways on Runaway Island have felt a certain... Tension, in the air. No one can be exactly sure of what it is, but everyone is quite sure that the tension cannot be a good thing. Everyone believes that it is a possible storm though the gods on the island believe it is something totally different... A war... No one can name what it really was.

For now, welcome to Runaway Island. What will you find? Love? Your true self? Friends? Well, you'll just have to wait and see.

Explanation:

Well, this is a remake of a role-play that I had a long, long time ago that failed miserably, but that is not where the story really originated! You see, it actually came from my fourth (Third?) grade mind long, long ago and has somehow managed to remain in my imagination until it involved into this. I'm not sure why I thought this would make a good role-play, but I just thought that it was.

Anyhow, on with the explanation. So, Runaway Island is an island for teenagers with special powers or who are humans... How they got here? Well, one explanation that I've come up with is the people come here by a flying moose that eats rainbows for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Don't ask; it's an inside joke on the actual website that isn't alive anymore xD) If you wish to join the role-play then read on for this topic to find the rules, submission forms, etc.

New Species:

Some new species that I've made up over the years for my stories, role-plays, etc. Anyone is free to role-play but just remember to stick with what they really are.

Secondaries:

Basic Info:

Main type of Strategy: Secondaries are very patient when it comes to striking and use their knowledge of the area to their advantage. When attacking, the Secondaries use power and stealth to take down the enemies. They usually attack together in groups ranging from 4-10.

Lifespan: 2-4 times longer than the average human and shape-shifter lifespan.

Home Life: No matter what is happening, the Secondaries treat each other like they are siblings and enjoy messing with one another. They are a friendly race and love socializing with others, especially of their kind. Often whenever they have free time, you can see an older Secondary play fighting with a younger Secondary in wolf form.

Stereotypical personality: Calm, level-headed, intelligent, playful

Gender Differences:

Dominant Gender (Power wise): Female

Male Shoulder Height: 4-5 foot.

Female Shoulder Height: 5-6 foot.

Male Lifespan: 300-350 years old.

Female Lifespan: 200-250 years old.

Fighting Differences: The females are somewhat more reckless than the males, making them far more powerful but more likely to make deadly mistakes. The males, on the otherhand, are more patient and somewhat weaker.

Shadow Hunters:
These guys work for the Secrecy god of death, Balkar.

Jobs:

Usual jobs: Shadow Hunters' usual jobs are to bring the dead souls, ones who have escaped death too many times, and those who have broken sacred laws to Balkar.

Rare jobs: If Balkar is not happy with someone or feels like they're mess waiting to happen, he'll sometimes send his Shadow Hunters to kill them off.

Extremely rare jobs: Assassinations for Balkar.


Abilities/Powers:

Normal powers: Shape-shifting (Power is given to them once their dead; Only one animal per a Shadow Hunter.)

Usual weapons of choice: Sword and other medieval weapons.

Fighting choices: All Shadow Hunters are trained highly in the Martial Arts. They are also trained highly in the medieval weapons range.

Island Locations:

There are multiple island locations which have pictures for them all.

Rules: (I know you hate them, but we gotta have them.)

-All of Tess' rules apply, so that means if you want to have a romantic scene then put *Fade to black with ____* and we'll know that's going on.
-Keep it PG-13
-No powerplaying, godmodding, Mary-sues/Gary-stus, etc. at all.
-Proper grammar, spelling, etc. is a must. I have a right to decline if I see you failed with any of those.
-No being your own crush/lover.
-Try to keep the genders balanced. It gets annoying when there's a ratio of two female to every male.
-MxF, MxM, FxF, etc. is allowed.
-Give us a sign that you're talking in OOC.

Powers and mythical creatures:

-Two powers per a character.
-Since mythological characters (vampires, werewolves, etc.) already have powers then they cannot have extra powers.
-Vampires do not sparkle in the sunlight. They burn into a pile of ash if they are exposed to sunlight for too long.
-No immortality, invincibility, or anything that would make your character Mary-sue like.
-For shape-shifters; they can have two animal/object form or an animal/object form and power.

Human form- Valkyrie stands at about 5'8" with an athletic build and long legs. She has scrawny arms compared to most and willowy, bony fingers. Her right leg is mechanical from an accident long ago, and she has multiple scars all over her body, the main scar going horizontally across her face.
She has long, golden brown hair that falls to about shoulder length and asymmetrical bangs that fall in front of her left eye. Her eyes are sea glass green (Or just an extremely light green hue) with random flecks of earth brown. Her skin is tan from working out on the farm with her family. She usually wears tank tops, skinny jeans, and shorts.
Dragon Form-Valkyrie is a small dragon compared to most. She stands at only about ten foot when standing on all fours, is twenty feet in length, and has a forty foot wing span. She is brown all over with wings that are almost see through.

Human Form-Luke is tall, standing at about 6', with a lean build. He has a sharp facial structure with somewhat pale skin. He's scrawny compared to most of the other Shadow Hunters that he works with, but that doesn't stop him from being the best he can be. He also looks somewhat feminine.
Luke has messy, dark blue hair that falls to about chin length that sticks up in the back and is much light at the tips. He has light blue eyes that always show some emotion of some sort. He has a thin scar wrapping around his neck that he got from a fight in his past life. He usually wears sleeveless shirts, shorts, jeans, and boots.
