((Sorry for my lame last post, my dad started shouting at me to come as soon as I started typing. I'll be able to write more now though.))
There had been a knocking at the door for a long time, and Lily decided that she should answer before the girls woke up from their naps. She rushed down the stairs, 2 at a time, and opened the door. Kaya was standing there, but before either of them could say anything, a shriek erupted from upstairs. "Hold on," said Lily, and dashed back up the stairs and into Sammy's room. She picked her up and began humming a lullaby as she walked down the stairs to talk to Kaya. Sammy was clinging on to her shirt, and Lily had to pull it up and readjust Sammy's grip before walking back to the door.
