Kaya smiled as she watched her sister make a new friend. She watched Lily walk her direction and she smiled a little. "Hello!" She said softly. When Lily apologized, Kaya spoke slowly "It's alright. I understand. But you didnt seem mean at all. I could tell you were in pain, so I was ok with leaving. I didnt want to give you anymore pain." She smiled at Lily, saying she forgave her. Kaya glanced over at Molly and Choko. She caught tidbits of their conversation, she assumed that they were talking about little girl things such as ponies, princesses, and the color pink. Kayas attention snapped back to Lily when she asked aquestion. "Yes. She is very sweet, I hope she doesnt try and be bossy, though. That is her fatal flaw." She laughed a little and looked back at the two girls.

Ever winced as her father's hand came down on her again, this time hitting her thigh. Pain began running up her leg, making it almost numb, yet the blood was like needles.
"What did you say?!?"
He roared at her, his face plum purple, viens popping out as he raised his fist once again. Ever cringed on the floor, gripping at her leg, trying not to cry. Tears always fueled the fire. It did not make it better to scream back either, so she just laid there. Her breath came in soft pants and her eyes gleamed with pain.
"I swear! First I let you live with me and now this! Do you understand what this means you little worthless piece of..."
Seeming to not think yelling was enough, he gripped Ever by the hair and bashed her head into the dining room table. Ever let out a soft scream, and yanked her father's hands out of her blood red hair. Spitting in his face, Ever raised her injured thigh to knee him in the groin. She then got to her feet, bare foot, and ran out of the house, her steps marred by her leg.
Finally making it to a store, she realized with a start that she was out, in the snow, without any shoes. She decided to go into the store and buy her a pair... or maybe steal, give her dad something to do. She laughed internally. He wouldn't risk his job to go in drunk. Ever pulled the hood of her hoodie up to cover her face and walked in. She wondered around a bit, not making a big show of herself. Then, once in the back, she got to work. The cheap shoes did not have the beepers that had to be shut off by the shop keeper, so she went for a pair of muddy brown mochasins that would probably fall apart after one wear. She tore everything off of it, even the tag and then put them on. Walking slowly back up to the front of the store, she heaved a sigh, like she had been looking for something and it wasn't there. Waving to the cashior, she left quickly, knowing her face would be blocked out by the plain black hoodie she wore.
Ever began walking again, tears running down her cheeks, making her face even colder than before.

Lily laughed a bit and relaxed. It was nice to know that Kaya wasn't angry with her. "Aren't all little girls," she agreed. She really wanted to go play on the swings for a while, but reminded herself that she was 16! Maybe if Kaya hadn't been here... Lily gasped a little in shock as she kicked her foot into the metal pole at the base of the table and jarred her ankle. She tried not to swear and instead told Kaya, "I talked to your mom earlier. She wants you to be home by 7."
((Sorry for the long wait and the shortness, I can't think of much to write and I need to eat dinner. I'll be back after gymnastics!))

"Yeah..." Kaya said with a laugh. She eyed the swings, desperately wanting to swing like she did when she was a child. But, she held her want down, fearing Lily might look down on her. "Oh. Ok. What time is it now. Do you...have a watch, or a cellphone one you?" Kaya asked.
(Anyone who doesnt have someone to RP with should come to the park, and I can hang with you lol. Also, sorry for the shortness too. I can barely think right now because my sister decided to come downstairs and start singing the 'Hide Yo Kids, Hide Yo Wife' song xP )

Ricky sauntered through the doors into the store, browsing through the racks of gum and crap. As he turned towards the door to leave, he sawa flash of red, and automatically thought of that girl, Ever, he had argued with earlier. He narrowed his eyes, a smile starting to form. "Ever?" He called, walking towards her curiously. It was fun to hang out with her--she obviously hated him, but still. It was still fun to mess with her, even if she did have awesome comebacks that made him red just to think about sometimes.

Hearing her nickname, she paused, her eyes wide. She couldn't help her reaction. She started walking even quicker. She was crying, and she was injured badly. Anyone who knew her by her first four letters of her middle name did not know what her father did to her. And, no matter how much she wanted to, she couldn't turn him in. After he was put in jail, she'd have no where to go.
Ever wiped her hand across her brow, feeling red blood come from her wound. Cursing softly, she began walking quicker. She knew that voice. Ricky. If he saw her like this, he'd be sure to make some snotting comment. And she didn't want to deal with that. He was a jock, she was a quiet and had many secrets. Walking as quick as she could, her bright emerald green eyes wandered around the landscape. Her head turned slightly, as if she had heard the man call to her, but indicating that wasn't her name. She continued walking at a quick pace, making sure her red hair was tucked into her black hoodie.

Ricky frowned, pausing in his walk as she sped up. "What the...?" He mumbled, his brow furrowed. As far as he had seen, she was not one to run away from anyone, especially him. Frowning, he picked up his pace, turning into a jog as he muttered a curse. That girl could walk fast! Jogging after her he bit his tongue, not wanting to scare her. Curiosity and humor drove him, but somewhere, there was a twinge of premonition. Ever never ran away from him. She was braver than any girl he knew; after all, she wasn't afraid to cuss him out in front of two other people, or say what was really on her mind. He had remembered her from school, and she never ran away from anyone. What was up? Catching up slowly, on her tail, he called softly, reaching out for her shoulder, though he was still to far away, "Ever!" He half laughed half huffed, frowning.

Ever felt him running after her, yet she didn't speed up. It wasn't until he put his hand near her shoulder that she acted.
Swinging around quickly, she waited until he was up to her, and then she let him have it. Her frustration came out and Ever punched him square in the jaw. Her bright green eyes blazed with fury and her black hood moved down to show her marred face and bright red hair.
"Leave me alone, Ricky!"
She said fiercly, her eyes filling with tears again, but this time from fury. Couldn't he tell that she didn't want to talk to him?!? Her hand flew up to wipe some of the blood from her pale face and she glared at him.

Ricky blinked as she punched him. It hurt! His head snapped to the side, his square jaw sore. Balling his hands into fists he looked back at her, at her bloody face. The scars and scratches marring her pretty face, her red hair falling about her. Normally, he would have either given her the finger and walked off, or laughed it off, trying to pretend he was to tough so that it didn't hurt, and annoy her some more, but the look in her eyes, and the blood on her face, stifled any instinct he would have had in this situation. "No." He frowned, his jaw throbbing though he dind't care. Who did this to her? What happened?! His hands itched to wipe the blood and gore away from her face, but he hardly knew her, besides their occasional battle that usually involved them yelling at each other and walked off, both pissed. He didn't want to ask her what happened, he knew she wouldnt tell him. Why would she? He wasn't even her friend. Just someone she would punch in the jaw. "Here," He muttered, eyes on the ground as he unzipped his jacket ( http://images.usoutdoorstore.com/usoutd ... cket12.jpg ) and handed it to her. "Wipe up your face," He added, noting she probably wouldnt know what to do with it. He really didn't mind giving it to her, he just felt bad, now. Sobered.
