Faust enjoys cold weather and her favorite season is winter, and she loves snow.
She has a liking for taking walks and pays close attention flowers, as she thinks they are fascinating. Faust loves chocolate, and though she has a sweet tooth, she is careful to not eat a lot. Faust also loves being high above ground, whether that be in a form of climbing a tree or being on a tall building, she finds it exhilarating. She hates hot weather, and in the summer she is often inside, or in the pool swimming. Faust has a strong disliking for stereotypes, and also doesn't like bright colors, as they hurt her sensitive eyes. She also hates being overestimated, as that puts pressure on her. But her worst dislike is being underestimated. Needles. Faust has a huge fear of them, and shudders at the mere thought of them. She also has a fear of crowded places, not to mention loud places. The combination of those two things often results in her head spinning, and sometimes even fainting. Faust also has a fear of losing a loved one. It would put her in a state of depression, and she would snap at people. She is incredibly stubborn and is able to stick up for herself.
History -
She is an only child, and lost her mother to a car accident in her early years, and doesn’t remember much about her. She calls her dad ‘father’ or ‘Carl’, but never ‘daddy’ or ‘dad’, although she is quite close to him. She has a very good relationship with him, and her father clung more to her once his wife died, in fear of losing his only child. She moved into this town when she was fourteen, and, in truth, was quite nervous, but it was not her choice, for her father was transferred.

{ This is Karen's totem. Click }

✠ кαяєη ✠

Karen stood, leaning against an alley wall, her long legs crossed at the ankles. Rain trickled down her face and plastered her orange hair to her face. She narrowed her eyes against the downpour and cast her eyes around the scene. She paused, fixing her eyes on a girl with something clutched in her hand. A totem? She shook her head to herself. 'You can't suspect every-one', she said, shaking her head to herself. She took her weight off the wall and stood straight, her and slipping down to her pocket where she kept her totem. She fingered it lightly, feeling the familiar bumps and recesses as she did so. "So this isn't a dream", she muttered quietly, gazing down at the intricate cross she held in her hands.

Tense and alert as she was, Karen merged easily into the relaxed crowd of people around her. She walked at a steady pace, slower than she usually would. Walking fast drew attention to herself. Attention was something she did not want. For comfort, she slipped her hand down to the small Smith & Wesson revolver she kept tucked into the waistband of her jeans. She relaxed slightly as she did so, moving her hand away swiftly, managing to keep the movement almost unnoticeable. You couldn't be to careful - not anymore.

She slipped into a dingy cafe, taking a seat in a vinyl lined booth. She traced the cracks in the seats, looking out of the dank, dirty window. She barely acknowledged the waitress as she came up. "A coffee", Karen said, without turning to face the woman serving her. As she heard footsteps heading away she slowly turned, taking in the café. One CCTV camera outside, four other people in the booths, not counting the two waitresses. She narrowed her eyes. This was not how life was supposed to be.

{Great. . . we can definitely start, then. >:3 And I forgot to mention: this is Echo's totem. Also, I'm changing her age to 18. My character would feel too young o_O}

Echo

Echo gripped her totem tightly as her dark violet eyes searched the scene. "It isn't a dream," she murmured. She had long ago lost track of reality and dreams, and to be perfectly honest, the totem was the only thing keeping her from the government, and just bearly insanity. Her heart slammed against her chest as she walked down the street, the rain gently slapping the sidewalk. Echo watched her breath evaporate in the air as she felt the reassuring turning of the marble ball, clasped in the metal hands of the twirled spirals. Echo would never be quite sure why, but the ball was always turning in reality, but never in dreams. Hopefully her black hoodie and torn jeans wouldn't be too much of a "Look at me!" thing. Echo trudged down the street, the city awkwardly silent. For a moment, Echo felt like everyone was looking at her, and her totem was failing, but then. . . Echo threw her head down silent and cursed. Insanity, or maybe genius, was terrible.

I'll be home in another two hundred yards, Echo thought desperately. No one will get me there. . . hopefully. Echo's vitality was fading. She could feel it. She was loosing the will to live. But she would keep living until it was time to die, which hopefully wouldn't be by the government's hands. Echo, after a few more paces, was inside her apartment building. She raced to the elevator, which could seemingly not go fast enough, and she broke into a run as soon as she was off it. She fumbled for the key, stuffed it into the lock, and burst inside, slamming the door shut.

Now, she could choose to go into a dream right now and risk going into further insanity, but that also might bring her the next step closer to her parents murderer. That was what she had been looking for. Although it was extremely dangerous, forming her dreams out of memories was practically what she lived off of. She would have to stop sometime. But Echo wouldn't. Not until the Inception was completed. Then she'd find her parents murderer. And then she'd be free to form her dreams out of things that she'd she had always wanted her life to be.

Echo sank down into her "L" leather couch. Her apartment now completely rocked her to the core. It was utterly different than her old apartment, before she had moved out to do the Inception, before her parents died. . . After making so much money out of extracting and the two other Inceptions, she lived a very rich life. Echo, though, chose not to live in a house. Living in a house, which would be decidedly remote, would kind of point all signs to, "Hey, I'm an Extractor and I'd Like to be Left Alone" type of thing. Her apartment now had a bar with a dark granite countertop, with a bowl chrome sink and a presidential-suite-styled room size and shape. Her computer and chair sat in the corner of Echo's bedroom, which held a king sized bed and a wall of one-way glass to look into the living room, which she was now in. Echo loved things that were made entirely of glass. They fascinated her.

Echo's house, though, helped her take pride in what she had accomplished: being one of the greatest extractors that you'd ever meet, especially if you'd be able to make as much money out of it as she had. But being rich and self-absorbed wasn't her style. This was just the house she lived in, and if you were able to trust her and she could trust you she'd lay her life on the line for you.

Echo picked at the holes in her jeans, wondering who she'd ever meet that she'd be able to trust. She exhaled, and suddenly the room reverberated with a feeling of utter fear and despair, loss. Echo stood up promptly and walked into her room. She passed her hand over a space on the wall next to her dresser, which was a rich rosewood color. The perfectly concealed compartment in the wall didn't make a single sound as it opened, and Echo pulled out the gun with which she was so skilled. She stuffed it in back of her jeans and the compartment closed just as quickly and silently as she walked away. Echo sat down on her couch, thinking about how she could possibly manage to do Inception again, on the entire government, how she could possibly plant such an infectious idea on all of them.

From Echo's point of view, if just one of them had the idea after the Inception and passed it on to the rest of the country's government, it just wouldn't work. It would be shut down once the president got it, if the rest of the senate and the house even agreed to it. No, all the Extractors would somehow have to manage to do it to all of them. One huge Inception, one massive, consuming, obsessive idea that would grow to define them. Echo would get it done before she died. She wouldn't stop at any cost. It would be her duty to do this and fix the broken world that they were living in.

Echo pulled the gun from her back pocket and examined it. Not quite a pistol, but it was definitely automatic and above the standards of the average gun. The grip of it was smooth and metallic, with a glittering onyx shine to it. Echo knew that this gun would help lead her to victory. It just would. It had to.

[ [ This is all I can remember. :c ] ]
Image
She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and titled her head up toward the weeping sky. The bitter tears from above soaked her hair, and she wore merely a now-completely-wet t-shirt and jeans, along with worn out converse. She looked odd, standing in the middle of the street, thin as a rail, her long chestnut hair hanging loosely down her back. She should be home, safe. But ah, how she loved the rain. She loved the cool splash of the water droplets, and the soft melodic sound it made as it trickled down into the sewers and dropped roofs.

But what was she doing, out there? As the frail old lady staring from the coffee shop window might say, "Tut tut. That girl has lost her mind!"
You even might think, "It's a shame. Such a pretty girl, but so little sense." She knew that she was in risk of catching the flu or getting a cold, but that was no matter to her. She needed to feel the rain. Her blood felt as if it was boiling on a hot day, and it felt as she had a fever. Opening her eyes, she let her hands drop to her sides. Feeling refreshed, she stepped of the road onto the sidewalk, squeezed her hair to let the water drop off, and pushed opened the door to the cafe.

It was not a large cafe, but it was certainly not small either. Most of the stools and tables were taken; but occupied by mere singles. Barely any table had more than one person sitting. She searched the room, and noticed a few people simply sitting there, flicking their eyes this way and that. She eyed them with curiosity, feeling a tad bit sorry. One of them was toying with something in his hands, with blue eyes that seem to be carefully observing everybody. Interesting. She thought.

She stepped into line, waiting patiently for her turn to order. When the line in front of here finally cleared up and she was in front, she stepped up and put her hands onto the counter. "One caramel macchiato please, two shots." She said. She pulled out a small wallet from her back pocket and gave the woman the owed amount of cash. The woman gave her a wry smile and took the money. Her wallet wasn't one to show off, it was one that someone would have thrown away long ago. But, it served her well, and she wasn't worried about what people thought of her wallet.

What was it to them? It was leather and brown, but ripped and bent in many places. her favorite was on the back, where there was an intricate pattern sown on, one that could never be copied exactly. The sowing was not there originally, for it was obvious that it was done by hand. and with letters only seen with very good vision or a microscope, the following words were sown on, "WITH LOVE". It could have been done only with skilled hands, and she smiled. Her mother. The wallet was originally her fathers, but he passed on the tattered thing to her, because he could not bear to throw the dear thing away, but he couldn't keep it either, for he no longer needed it.

She walked over to the other side of the counter, waiting for her beverage. Once it was made and set on the counter, she swiped it into her hands and grabbed a straw, eyes searching for an empty seat.
