It has been weeks. Maybe even months. You have already lost track of the time that you've spent here, in this horrible place. Rocking back and forth on your heels and staring at the bars in the cell, you wonder why they took you here. They seemed kind at first, telling you that there would be good food, you would be allowed to visit your family, you would be allowed a simple, but suiting room, you would be treated kindly and fairly, and that life would be easier. All of the above were a lie. When you got to the testing facility, they left you with some half-rotten meat, they took all things possible to connect your family with, they threw you in this cell, and they mocked and kicked you. If life here was easier, spiders and humans would get engaged and have children without any disorders or deformities. But the worst part about this place is the testing. Years ago, there used to be creatures. Beautiful, graceful things that filled the world with joy. Scientists scrambled to collect DNA from them as they died out. Soon they were advertising everywhere for wanted teens, ages twelve through nineteen, to abandon their city or other lives and come to a place where it would all be good. Kids flooded in, abandoning their fretting parents. The scientists refused to give them back, and soon the tests, as said before, started. In every cell, the kids were strapped to tables and knocked out with anesthesia. When they awoke, they found themselves with almost no memory of their previous life, with features such as ears, tails, claws, and battle moves from the creatures. Surges of joy flooded through them, but it was short-lived. They realized with horror that they were still stuck in the lab. All kinds of new creature-morphed children were shot or abused brutally to death for trying to escape.
This is where you come in.
Around the lab, there is a wood. Circling the lab and the wood, there is a huge, invisible force field. The scientists wanted to see what the kids would do when they were 'set free', and they told them that they were free to go out, back into the world. Little do the people know that they are still trapped.
Those creatures?
They were things called
pokemon.
