As he walked Matt wondered why he even bothered to go to school, it wasn't like he had anyone to answer too. He could come and go as he pleased, stopping in the middle of the hallway he slid into a corner and sank to the floor pondering his options. Should he ditch today and go back to the campground? He had already had enough of school today. His grades had already sunk to D and Cs. He was hopeless in English, Math, Science and even History. The teachers treated him like something nasty under their shoes and he was sick of it.
Yes. He was done with school at least for today, but how should he leave? If any other student saw him leaving they might snitch on him to the teachers, or worse follow him to his campground. He would have to be very careful, wait until the bell rang and then he would go while everyone was hopefully in class. Now all he had to do was hope no one bothered him.
