Eden Alice
And if I die before I wake.
I pray the lord my soul to take...

Alice walked into the small classroom, not bothering to even glance up at the students or even the teacher. Her curly brown hair looked as if it had been styled, but anyone who knew Eden knew that she wouldn't have had the chance to even touch her hair. Every waking moment she spent trying to convince herself that somehow Serenity had lived, if not her mother. Alice sat down in the closest empty chair, not even bothering to explain her abesence. She sat her books on the desk, took her pencil, and began twirling it in her petite fingers. I do not care about this place. She thought to herself. They will never make me tell them what happened. Painful images flashed through her mind and she shook her head roughly before setting her pencil down and intertwining her fingers together. Alice tried to stay calm as she tuned out the trooning therapist.
