Ruben smiled softly,
"I have no doubt of that."

He nodded when she said something about not knowing what each other was capable of. He liked to think of himself as trust worthy, but in a place like this, well, it was hard to get people to trust you, especially if you didn't trust them yourself. But that wasn't how he felt about Carmen. True he got a dangerous vibe rom her that told him if he really ticked her off he'd pay for it, but he didn't get an untrustworthy vibe from her. She was kind of like spicy candy, dangerous if you pushed your luck and ate too much, but enjoyable if you took your time going through the box.

Carmen

Carmen nodded but didn't speak for a while. She kept her gaze elsewhere: the door, the guards, the other kids. She wasn't sure how she felt about Ruben. Scratch that; she liked him, definitely. But did she want him to like her? She didn't know yet. Finally, she turned back to him with a smile. "Well.." She said. "I have a one-on-one therapy session in forty-five minutes, but first..." She consulted her crumpled schedule. "First I have social studies." She groaned. "It's weird to think that this place is like some kind of sick school." She crumpled her schedule again and shoved it into her pocket.

Ruben

"Social studies eh? I was never good with maps and history," he mused, "I never liked school either, so I supose the fact that this is a prision too makes it all the worse. When I was little I actually had nightmares about being forced to live inside my school with my crumbly old teacher." he grinned and chuckled. He pulled his own schedule out of his pocket.
"Eh, I'm not sure which class I have next. This part here is smudged with something. Mustard maybe. Lazy secretaries." he said. He shrugged.

Carmen

Carmen laughed. "The mystery of the mustard stain," She joked, watching Ruben put away his schedule. "Well," She said. "If you don't know what you have next, why not come to social studies with me? I'm sure they won't care. And if they do, what the h*ll." She tossed her head so that her dark hair flipped back slightly.

Carmen got up and emptied her tray in the trash. "Disgusting," She muttered before sitting back down next to Ruben.
