• Like We Used to • (onexone with Hikaru)

Kimiko heard a knock, she quickly jumped to her feet and ran to the door. She opened it and saw Kenji. Quickly, she hugged him still shaking in fear. She began to cry and held him tighter really scared. Her heart was beating loudly from the thunder. Her eyes were closed and her body was too numb to move from their hug. Her shaking grew uncontrollably while another thunder rolled. She held him tighter and squealed a little still crying.

Kenji stood in the house to prevent from getting wet, or at least more wet. He dug into his pockets and pulled out some headphones. He placed them over her ears, and played a song on his iPod to drone out the sound. He knew it would be better than cupping his hands over her ears. He took a seat on the ground, breathing deeply.

Kimiko took his hand in hers as she pulled him inside with her. She couldnt hear anything but the music nor could she see anything. So, she just closed her eyes and listened to the song he played. Her hand still held his while she brings him to the couch, she sat down and patted the seat beside her for him to sit down on. She didn't want to let his hand go, she felt safe just holding his hand, but hers continued to shake in fear. A few sniffles and sobs came from her while she tries to calm down.

Kenji squeezed her hand gently, taking a seat on the couch beside her. His eyes felt tired and strained from trying to see in the dark. He gulped, his eyes coming to a close. He couldn't help but to feel slightly tired. Kenji felt his heart rate increase.

Even though Kimiko had trouble seeing, she couls tell that Kenji was tired. She took his head and laid it down on her lap. Her head turned to the side while she looked away blushing. He looked tired yet he went to her house to make sure she was okay. Her shaking hand gently released his and caress his hair while her other hand rested on the couch beside her.

Kimiko looked down at Kenji but she hopes that he doesn't notice since it's too dark to see. She smiled, because for one she can actually see the old Kenji. The one she fell in love with, the one who took care of her. Her eyes looked at him with passion while her cheeks blushed. Though her hand still shook, she continued to caress his hair while he laid down on her lap.

Kenji didn't object to lay down his head in Kimiko's lap. He'd fallen asleep more than once in class. He wanted desperately to talk to her, but knew she would rather not hear the thunder. He let out a sigh, vaguely spotting her figure in the darkness. He reached up to her face, and sat up. His head rang from the sound of the thunder. Once the lightening lit up the room, he was able to get a good glance at Kimiko's face. Taking a chance, he swiftly leaned towards her, before pressing his lips gently to her's.

Kimiko watched curiously while Kenji sat up with his hand on her face. She wondered what he was doing, she thought he was tired. Then the streak of lightning made it visible to see his face even for a moment. The next thing she knew his lips were pressed on hers.

Her hazel eyes widened in shock while her cheeks turned red. Slowly, she closed her eyes and locked her lips on his. She could hear her heart beating loudly. She never expected Kenji to do something like this and it caught her completely off guard

Kenji's heart was ringing in his ears, and he reluctantly broke the kiss after a moment. He felt his face gain color, and He leaned his head against the back of the couch. Kenji smiled in the darkness, even though he knew she couldn't see. Kenji took hold of her hand, and did his best to keep his palm
from sweating. He grinned, feeling giddy.

When Kenji pulled away, her eyes fluttered open. She unplugged the headphones from her ears and looked at Kenji. Nothing but questions filled her mind. She slowly parts her lips to speak, but no words came out. His warm hands held hers and she caresses his hand with her thumb. Her head looked away and her eyes fell to the ground.

"W-why did you kiss me.....?" she asked him. Her free hand traced her bottom lip where he kissed her. She was unsure to his purpose and wanted to know. It wasn't intended to be rude or for it to come out as if she didn't like it because she actually wanted more. The feeling of his warm lips against her lingered. She smiled a little but then looked at Kenji for the answer.

Kenji etched Kimiko curiously, noticing she took the headphones off. He smirked, instantly opening his mouth once she spoke. His cheeks flushed to a crimson color. "I wanted to." He replied bluntly, glad the power was off. It made it easier to
hide his blush. He wasn't able to comprehend what he was feeling at the moment. Too many emotions were hitting him at once.
