• Like We Used to • (onexone with Hikaru)

Kimiko looked up with her teary eyes and saw him leaving. Her heart broke each step he took further away from her. Then she fell to her knees. Tears continued to stream down why her legs weaken from pain. Kimiko stood up, then she saw Ruki with a couple of girls beside her. Ruki had a smirk on her face as they walled closer to her. Then they closed the rooftop door. Ruki pushed Kimiko to the ground. Then she pulled out a knife and grabbed Kimiko by the hair. Kimiko shook in fear as she tries to call for help, but Ruki pulled the knife across Kimiko's hair and cut it. Then she kicked her face onto the rooftop gravel, scratching her cheek. Then Ruki kicked Kimiko multiple times until bruises were made. "You better keep your hands off of Kenji. Or else...." she smirked and left.

Kimiko laid on the floor, beaten and shaking. Then she managed to sit up, feeling the bruises aching. Her long hair was cut short but that was the least of her problem. She then got up and began to walk home. Her hand was on the wall to keep herself from falling. Moments later, she reached her house. She got inside and sat on the couch and fell asleep. She was in pain and was too weakto move, so she just fell asleep.

Kenji hurried home, and took a light nap. He watched outside through the window, spotting Kimiko. He let out a gasp. She looked pretty beaten up. He weighed the idea of going over. He walked over to her house within a few minutes and knocked on the door. Getting no response, he peeked his head through the window, seeing Kimiko asleep. He turned his back, and began to walk steadily home.

Kimiko continued to sleep. An hour later, she woke up. He whole body was sore but she managed to get up and walk to get the first aid kit. She then sat back down. She cleaned the scratch on her cheek and placed a bandage on it. She cleaned the bruises but there was not much she could do to them. Then she got up and looked at the mirror. Her hair was cut right short up to her jaws. She sighed and went upstairs and rested.

Kenji fell asleep once he hit the bed, forgetting to eat dinner. He'd felt too stressed out to even remember. He dreaded school the next day. He got out of bed late, and did his best to keep himself awake as he walked out the door.

Kimiko walked out her house slowly. It was hard trying to get used to her short hair and she doesn't know how she'll explain her wounds and bruises to others. So she quietly walked to school. Not wanting to get anyones attention. She brushed her short hair and looked down, not looking into anyones eyes.

Kenji spotted Kimiko, and imediately made a beeline to her. "Kimiko, are you alright?" He asked, his voice cracking with worry. He noticed more wounds now that he was close to her. "Who did this to you?" He asked, suddenly angry.

Kimiko looked up at him then quickly turned away. She closed her eyes and continued to walk.

"Nobody, I just....fell down the stairs...." she said hesitantly. She wasn't suppose to be close to Kenji and she didn't want him to know about Ruki. So it's best if she lies.

Kenji rubbed the back of his neck with a frown.
"You know I can tell when you lie just before you open you're mouth? Mind telling me the truth?" He asked politely, his face softening slightly. "To be honest, I'm worried about you, and it'd be best if you tell me what happened, okay?" Kenji said, taking her hand. "I'd rather you hurt me physically then lie to me."

Kimiko looked at Kenji surprised. His words impacted her greatly, in a good way. Then her eyes fell to the ground. "It's best if you didn't know...and it's best if you keep away from me..." she said with a heavy heart. Her pace slowly Increased while she released his hand from hers. Her short hair blew back a little while her brown eyes began to form Tears.

Kenji felt impacted by her words, almost as if he'd been slapped. He kept up with her pace. "I can't stop, and won't stop being in love with you. You can't shut me out." He admitted, feeling his heart skip a beat. Kenji glanced towards her, not regretting his words.
