"I-I'm not hungry....so I hope it's okay if we do it some other time..." she said with her back to him. Not because she didn't want to look at him but because she was embarrassed. Then she went inside the classroom and beganto finishe her work.

Kenji nodded, continuing to walk down the hallway. He ate a quick lunch, hardly finishing before the bell rang. He hurried back to his locker, looking for Kimiko. He'd been thinking about asking her to prom, and debating whether she'd want to or not.

Kimiko finally finished her work, she got up and went to her locker. She figured she had time before the bell rang for class. Her locker was not too far from the classroom. She unlocks it then puts her stuff inside. She picks up the things she needs and puts away the ones she doesnt. Then she saw Ruki with Kenji. Her heart sank and tears began to form in her eyes as she ran up to the roof and hid up there.

Ruki noticed Kenji was looking for someone. She smirked and walked over to him. She took his hand in hers and laced them together. "Looking for me?" she smiled and kissed his cheek.

Kenji spotted Kimiko and smiled, interrupted by Ruki. His eyes diverted to her, and he gulped. "Not really." He said, desperately wanting to get out of her grip. Kenji tugged on her hand. "Would you mind? I need to...see Kimiko." He offered, feeling too many emotions to count.

Ruki scoffed and released his hand. She then walked away with her arms crossed.

Kimiko ran up the stairs to the roof top. She sat down on the corner and began to cry quietly. Her beck as again the rails of the stairs while she sat on it. She was too afraid to go on the rooftop for it might rain again. Kimiko curled up in a ball and hurried her face on her knees while she cried and shook her head.

"You're so stupid Kimiko! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you...." she said crying while she cursed at herself.

Kenji hurried down the hall, figuring she would probably be on the roof. He stopped once he spoted Kimiko in the stairwell. He took a seat down beside her, wishing she would suddenly feel better. "Something wrong?" He asked, tempted to cry himself.

Kimiko looked up and saw Kenji. She immediately placed her head backed down and cried. "Please go back to Ruki...." she cried and got up and went out to tue rooftop. She closed the doorand locked it so he can't come in

Kenji rubbed his face. "I don't want to.." He mumbled, sitting his back against the stairwell. He closed his eyes, and waited for her to come out. He let out a sigh, burying his face in his hands.

Kimiko continued to cry while she hid behind the door. Then she thought he was gone, she slowly opened the door and gasped to see him. She closed her eyes and looked away. "Please go...." she said in a quiet tone.

Kenji clenched his fist at his sides, and slowly stood up. If she wanted him to leave, he would. He exited the stairway without hesitation, and began to walk home. School would be ending within a few minutes, and he might as well get a head start so he wouldn't end up meeting Ruki.
