"Why, what's wrong?" Keiran asked carefully, glancing at Lyra, but not meeting her gaze. Jaclyn began to pace a bit, and his gaze shifted to her. "What's wrong, girl?" He asked her, turning his head towards his pet, tilting his head slightly. But she didn't stop pacing, only seemed to ignore him and continue. 'There has to be something wrong here.' Keiran thought. 'Very wrong.' He turned towards Lyra, accidentally having his gaze catch on hers, and began to blush.

Lyra::
"I have reason to believe those fire nation guara getting off their boats over there are after me. I think they want to kill me. I had been their captive for Te past several days until I just recently blew up that ship an ended up here. They were just collecting remains of the ships but now I fear they have decided to come after me. There is a stupid myth from where I come from that I am a descendant of a powerful water spirit and I think that's why they want me dead." She explains quickly starting to edge her way down some slipperystones.

"Oh, well, umm...." Keiran replied, feeling a bit useless for a moment. "Wait for a moment. I have an idea of where you could hide." Jaclyn stopped her pacing for only a minute and then began back up again, as if she knew that Lyra wouldn't trust him enough to actually let him lead her to safety. "Only me and my friend know of it, and both of us aren't really ones to be anywhere near the fire nation anyways." 'Ugg, I sound completely like I'm trying to convince her only because it's a trap!' He thought, nearly shaking his head. 'Not so good with words.'

Lyra::
She hesitates, paused. She glances at the fire nation. "Umm... that's ok... I dont think I should," she muttered backing away. She gulped and then started to move a little faster, picking up speed she lacked earlier as she got further down the steep hill. She water bent all of the water from the stones laid out in front of her and splashed a globe of water elsewhere, out of her path. "Thanks for the offer though," she called quietly upon reaching the bottom. Her attention was mostly on the approaching guards though.

Keiran sighed, and for a moment turned his back, thinking of just walking off, but the thought of leaving someone in danger stuck too firmly; he knew it would haunt him if he heard that it had ended badly, and that he could have done something to help. With a sigh, he glanced over his shoulder and then toured a bit to the left of where she had gone down the slope, slipping down until he reached the bottom, then staying hidden, watching carefully.

Lyra::
She stood tall and straight up against a large boulder, looking around it at the guards. She slid down and crawled on her stomach to another boulder and peeked out at them from behind tall scarce grass.

Keiran waited for any sign that Lyra may need his help, staying thoroughly hidden so that no one could see him. He knew very well that Lyra wouldn't approve of him being nearby, thinking him a double-crosser perhaps already. Jaclyn stood upon the top of the hill, tilting her head and nearly bounding down towards him, but he shook his head, waving her off. She bounded off into the forest without a sound.

As some guards neared Lyra's hiding spot she cringed and tried to lay as flat as possible. After a minute of silence being occasionally interrupted with the sounds of boots squeaking on wet stone, she opened one eye, teeth clenched. She held her fissts by the base of her neck and balled them into fists. She hardly breathed, a guard was right in front of her her now.

Keiran stiffened, ready to make his move if Lyra truly needed it. 'Only blow my cover if she absolutely needs help.' He thought, not moving or making any noise. 'If she can handle it, then why get myself into all of this?' Fire against fire, after all, wasn't all that effective anyways, although being around Toph had made him stronger in a few other aspects of fighting. Jaclyn continued to head further away from Keiran, determined to keep away from trouble.

She sighed as the guard walked away and inched behind another boulder, but her foot slipped and hit a rock. She flinched and held still. The guard turned and smirked at the spot the noise had come from. Lyra stood and backed around the other way as the guard neared the other side of the boulder. She watched the spot where she heard his footsteps come from and then felt pressure on her arm as another guard, whom she had been unaware of, grabbed her upper arm. This sprung her into action. She jerked her arm away and waterbent nearby pools of water and slammed them into the guard who had grabbed her arm. He made an 'oof' noise but recovered quickly. The other guard also jumped into action.
