Flitz subdued the last of the kallick/erath novices who were trying to assassinate Thorry although their leader was being restricted. Flitz quietly let some of her powerful magic flow into Thorry, replenishing the queen's missing sparks, and then slipped away, back to the cave.

Flitz squished into the cave, realizing it was very possible that her egg may soon have a sibling. Noticing Yuki snoring away at the cave wall, Flitz quietly wrapped herself around the egg and slept.

Before Apollo could attack though, one of his recruits blasted me with air so cold that it burned. My wings, frozen in place, where useless. I fell. I felt the air rush past my head. The ground was cold and hard, and a jolt of pain zipped through my body. Apollo laughed, and if there wasn't nearly 30 dragons between the two of us, he would have come to finish me off with his own claws. I used my tail to trip an ice dragon coming near me. I then blew fire at an earth. I might have been lying on the ground, beaten and humiliated, but I would not let those spineless cowards take my life. So, as my wings slowly defrosted, I took down dragon after dragon, losing strength, but gaining confidence.

(Still a litlle fuzzy about previous posts and what did and didn't happen. I hope this works.)

Flitz adjusted herself, taking a peek at her egg. There was a crack! A small, scared eye could be seen through it.

The retreat cry went out. Finally. I didn't know how long I could survive in this battle, my wings still didn't work, but they didn't need to. I used some elementel magic to defrost them. I couldn't do that during the fight because, unless I wanted to burn my wing membrane, it had to be done slowly and carefully. Blowing hot breath on myself, my wings began to work. I flexed them, they would work for a while. I launched myself into the sky, the wind in my face was cold and bitter. "Just like Apollo." I thought resentfully.

Flitz grinned suddenly. "The light dragons!" Flitz whispered. It was time to bother Queen Thorry about coming on the quest with Embers and Sirria.

Flitz carefully taught her baby dragon to chew. It struck her that the baby was creamy-colored with gold accents. She rocked back, surprised. Flitz had expected her baby to look a bit more...blue? Ah, well. Flitz thought. Must be something in my mixed bloodline.

{Sorry I've been busy for a bit! Back now}

Embers thanked Flitz for healing her wound, and sprang back to her feet. It still smarted, but she had had worse. Roaring furiously, she launched herself at her attacker. She parried the kallick's blow with her tail, and sent blow to its head. She heard a crack, and the dragon froze in mid lunge, blood starting to drip into his eyes. In slow motion he seemed to fall, crumbling lifelessly to the ground. She stared in shock. She had never killed a dragon with one blow before. Shrugging it off as some left over magic from Flitz's sword, she backed away from the fray. She took a deep breath. I can't fight physically anymore, she though to herself looking at her shaking limbs. But as long as she was conscious she would continue fighting. She did not like using mind magic much, but in this case it was necessary. She saw a dragon about to land a blow on Thorissia's flank, and sent a powerful jet of magic at him, literally sweeping him off his feet. She flung him to the ground. He fought back, and they struggled ten feet apart. When Apollo's call for retreat came, it was almost a relief. She roared with triumph.

-Suggestion-
I think when they go for the quest, they go to the lost kingdom, and find nothing. Then they discover hollowed out mountian, and inside are the surviving light dragons, and Ash. Ash ran away and found the light dragons.

Yukila blinked her golden eyes, and the snow sparkled in the cave. Flitz murmured, "Not fire, no heat..."

Flitz blinked curiously at the blue eggshell. She shoved a piece out in the sunshine, and it glowed white, then gold. "Curious," Flitz muttered. "Yukila... Possibly she is... like..."
