Karen whacked the other ride on the head with the hilt of her knife, rendering him unconscious. She slumped back, panting, her cheek swollen and her lip bloody. She stumbled up and grabbed some rope, tying the rider's wrists and feet. She stood back to check her handy work and nodded. "Ruka", she said, turning to the dragon, "Watch him". To her surprise the dragon nodded, almost imperceptibly. She hadn't expected the ice dragon to understand her. She trotted off to the big house, her head pounding. She got into the infirmary and slumped in one of the chairs. She cussed under her breath.

Jackson nodded as Ryan brought the food and turned back to Kali. "Here", he said, putting the flask of nectar to her lips, "Drink". He looked at her, assessing the she held herself and if she winced as she moved. As Karen stumbled in, his eyes darkened. "Ryan, tend to Karen", he said sharply.

Kali:

"I can take care of myself..." the daughter of Hades mumbled while taking a sip of the nectar. She took the flask and put her to her lips by herself, though she did feel a burning in her arm. Probably a broken arm... she thought grudgingly to herself as she sipped the nectar. She almost winced in pain, but she didn't show the pain she was really in.

Jackson narrowed his eyes as Kali winced, then handed her some ambrosia. "Feeling any better?", his asked, his gaze still calm and assessing. He raised an eyebrow at her, but said nothing else.

The daughter of Hades grumbled under her breath and took the ambrosia. "I'm fine though I do think that my arm is broken," she answered while not meeting his gaze for some reason "Just... Worried about what or who attacked me." It was already starting to bug her with the possible threat of war on the horizon. She knew that people would think of her as a freak for thinking about that already, but everything was just bugging her...

Karen spoke up then, her voice rasping a little. "I got the person who attacked you", she said to Kali & Jackson, she gestured to her face, "That's how I got so beat up. He's tied up in the arena right now". She looked at them, a little blood trickling from her cheek. "Whoever it is, they're defiantly a fighter", she said.

Jackson narrowed his eyes as Karen spoke. "****", he muttered, under his breath. His eyes glinted darkly.

"Fun..." the daughter of Hades grumbled under her breath sarcastically. With a sigh, she sat up in her spot. "I guess I'll go talk to the person and see if I can get them to talk about what they were doing..." She started over to get down from the bed, only to wince and clutch her ribs again. I'll be fine, she told herself while slipping off of the bed and onto the ground. She ignored the pain that shot through her body with each step she took.

Jackson stepped in front of Kali and pushed her gently back down onto the bed. "You are going no where". He met her eye with eyes as hard as stone. He clenched his jaw stubbornly then leant back, folding his arms.

Karen took two squares of ambrosia and swallowed them quickly, before sipping some nectar. She stood, a little shakily, but the blood flowing from her face trickled to a halt and she looked stronger than she had. "I disagree Jackson", she said firmly, "Kali should go. I'll go with her. I have debts to pay". She clenched her fists. Jackson shook his head, clearly meaning no. Karen sighed, exasperated, "Carry her if you must!"

Evelyn raised an eyebrow with amusment as she watched the scene, "Kali you should just stay where you are, with Jackson like this I dont think you even have a chance at running off." She glanced at Karen for a moment, "Do you think it's going to be easy to get revenge while being carried? And while you're being slowed by it?"
