Misty desperately wanted to be left alone, but Rain wouldn't go away. If he thought she was going to cooperate, maybe then it would be easier to get away. She was ashamed of herself for wanting to feed from him, but even more so because others saw as well. Now they would probably be afraid and want her to go away. Good, just what I want. Now if only Rain would do the same..

The black bird swooped down a couple branch to get a closer look. Its wants the nuts, he thought. He stared at the bird, but it didn't seem frightened. It actually looked kind of smart. He rubbed his head again then picked up the nut. "You want this? Here, I wouldn't be able to open it." And he tossed the nut a few feet in front of him. He hadn't actaully tried to open it yet, because the shell felt thick. A good smash against a rock or something of the like could do the trick. Besides, the animals were getting them open somehow. The bird's sharp beak would do just fine.
