Personality:True to a Gryffindor student's ideals, Sirius was very brave and loyal, as shown by his participation in both wars and willingness to die for those he loved. He was a talented and clever wizard, though he was also quite an arrogant and mischievous troublemaker in his youth, with a habit of bullying people with his best friend, James, namely Severus Snape. Sirius could be vicious towards those whom he disliked, sometimes unjustifiably; by sending Snape off to the Shrieking Shack as a teenager, he could have gotten Snape killed, he risked exposing his friend Remus' condition as a werewolf, and he risked getting himself and his friends expelled if his "prank" had worked.

He was also cruel to his house-elf, Kreacher, who praised Sirius' hated mother and made disparaging comments to members of the Order, but the true reason for his cruelty towards Kreacher was that the unpleasant house-elf was a living reminder of the home and family he despised. At times, he was irresponsible, risking getting caught by the Ministry because he felt stir-crazy in his house and advising Harry to take impulsive actions. Much of this can likely be attributed to the years Sirius spent in Azkaban, stunting his emotional development and making him especially eager to spend time with, and protect, his loved ones. However, his true heart never wavered, even during his stay in Azkaban.

Despite Sirius' good nature, he has, at times, shown to be capable of an explosive temper when angered. This trait is shared with both his mother, Walburga Black, and cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange. His years in Azkaban contributed greatly to his short-fuse, which was particularly evident during the events of 1993 and 1994 in which he tried persistently to capture Peter Pettigrew. It should be noted, however, that for all his anger towards Pettigrew, Sirius was capable of respecting Harry's request to not murder the man he escaped Azkaban to kill; opting instead to expose Pettigrew (a plan that unfortunately failed).

Though Sirius was a kind, loyal, courageous and selfless person, he has also displayed that he could be a hypocrite; though he claimed one's true character became apparent in the way they treated their inferiors rather than their equals, he was cruel to Kreacher, whom he absolutely loathed. He also claimed that no one was purely good or purely evil, and that everyone had both light and darkness inside him or her, but his behaviour towards Snape strongly suggested that he firmly believed him to have no good qualities at all. However, his flaws can be overlooked by his greatest redeeming quality: the intense level of affection he was capable of feeling. He loved James like a brother, and he went on to transfer that attachment to his godson, Harry.

History:Sirius was the last remaining heir of the House of Black, a once-notable pure-blood wizarding family. His parents, Orion and Walburga, were both Blacks by birth and second cousins. Sirius had a younger brother, Regulus, who died after turning against Lord Voldemort in 1979 by attempting to destroy his Horcruxes. He was killed by the Inferi guarding one of his Horcruxes (although Sirius did not know this).

"Sirius" is a traditional Black family name, recurring in at least three generations and following a family tradition of naming children after stars, constellations, and galaxies. The names Cygnus, Arcturus, and Regulus have also occurred at least twice each. Notably, however, only one Sirius (the subject's great-grandfather) left a line of descent, which ended with the youngest Sirius.

Description:Sirius was a tall, well-built, darkly handsome man with long, lustrous black hair, striking grey eyes, and an air of "casual elegance". This vestige of aristocratic beauty is apparently an attribute passed down through the Black Family. Unfortunately, Sirius' good looks suffered due to the depression and maltreatment he underwent during the twelve years he spent in Azkaban. When Harry Potter first saw him in the Shrieking Shack, in 1994, he had a gaunt, sunken face, waxy skin, yellow teeth, and long, matted hair; Harry thought he looked as a corpse might. By November, after his escape, he visited Harry in the Common Room fireplace, and he was described as having short, clean hair and a fuller, younger face. Sadly, by the next spring, his condition deteriorated, and he reverted back to a state that was only slightly better than that which he had been in a year ago: unshaven, with a faint scent of stale drink around him, and he did not bother to change his clothes at night (presumably a result of his "imprisonment" at the home he utterly despised and his conviction of his apparent uselessness). Death, however, served to restore him to the peak of his dark good looks and vitality - his spirit was described as "tall and handsome, and younger by far than Harry had ever seen him in life. He loped with an easy grace, his hands in his pockets and a grin on his face".

Personality:Lily was known for being an exceptionally kind-hearted and talented witch, becoming Head Girl in her final year at Hogwarts. She also was an all-time favourite of her Potions Master, Professor Horace Slughorn, who noted that she was witty and charming, as well as having a knack for potions. Remus described her as having a habit of seeing the best in others, even when they could not see it themselves, though her good opinion, once lost, was gone forever. On at least one occasion she called out James and Sirius for their bullying of Severus Snape while Remus sat by and did nothing. Her actions were not, however, effective.

When in a temper, Lily had a sharp tongue, and had no trouble standing up to others. She had strong principles, ending her friendship with Snape when she could no longer tolerate his fascination with the Dark Arts or his devotion to Voldemort's genocidal cause.

Lily and her husband were also brave and self-sacrificing, defying Voldemort three times as members of the Order of the Phoenix, and dying to protect their son.

History:Lily was born to Mr. and Mrs. Evans, two Muggles of the Evans family, on 30 January, 1960. She had a sister named Petunia, and the family lived in or very near Mill Town in Great Britain. At the age of nine, Lily became friends with Severus Snape, who lived down in Spinner's End, which was within walking distance of the Evans' house. However, they were were apparently not as poor, since Petunia sneered at Snape for coming from that poverty-stricken neighbourhood. Severus was the first person to tell Lily that she was a witch, and he went on to teach Lily a great deal about the wizarding world while the two eagerly awaited the time when they could attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry together. Originally, Petunia and Lily were quite close, but her magical abilities and her friendship with Severus caused problems between the sisters. Envying her sister's abilities, Petunia wrote to Dumbledore, asking if she could attend Hogwarts with Lily.

Lily bought her wand from Ollivanders Wand Shop in Diagon Alley at the age of eleven. The wand was 10¼" willow, "swishy", and, according to Mr. Ollivander, good for charm work.

From the pensieve, Severus' memories show that he was a very introverted and studious individual, very unlike James, whom was rather cocky and popular, which is one of the reasons why Severus envied him so much and is love for dear Lily Evans also heightened the tension between the two. Yet Severus was still always the quieter one and preferred not to always fight back or retort, which is why he always seemed to be the less popular one, but he still generally got into bother, on average with the marauders.

Severus Snape was born 9 January, 1960 to Eileen Prince, a pure-blood witch, and Tobias Snape, a Muggle, making him a half-blood wizard. He grew up in a brick row house on a muggle town, called Spinner's End, by a river, in what appears to be a rundown area in an industrial city in northern England. This was also Severus' home throughout his years at Hogwarts. Spinner's End is an area of poverty, with cobbled streets, broken street lamps, disused factories and dilapidated houses.

At age eleven however, Severus attended Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, and on the way to Hogwarts for his first year, Snape sat with Lily on the train, where they met James Potter and Sirius Black. This hostile first encounter, during which James and Sirius came up with the derogatory nickname "Snivellus," would set the tone for Snape's enmity with the two Gryffindor wizards for the rest of his life. Also, Snape was made a member of the Slug Club, presumably because of his brilliance at potion-making, and Horace Slughorn kept a picture of him as a student, clutching his copy of Advanced Potion-Making. Despite this, Slughorn did not have many hopes for Snape's future, as his photograph was kept behind many others. Aswell as that, it was said that Severus excelled at the Dark Arts from an early age; while still in his first year, he knew more curses and hexes than most of the seventh year students.

He reportedly was friends with a gang of Slytherins who later became Death Eaters, including Avery and Mulciber. Other Slytherins that Sirius mentioned as being friends with Snape included Evan Rosier, Wilkes and his cousin Bellatrix Black . Severus also had contact with Lucius Malfoy, who was a prefect during Snape's first year and who greeted him with a pat on the back when he was sorted into the Slytherin House, suggesting that he treated him kindly at Hogwarts. Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew were also classmates of Severus.

Description:
Snape was a thin man with sallow skin and a large, hooked nose. He had shoulder-length, greasy black hair which framed his face in curtains. His cold, black eyes resembled dark tunnels; their colour looked similar to Hagrid's, but contained none of the half-giant's warmth. He had a thin-lipped, sneering mouth, and often spoke in a soft voice, though he often became aggressive with students he disliked.

Severus Snape was considered by most to be cynical and sarcastic. He had a tendency to hold grudges and could be extremely spiteful toward those whom he disliked. Though Severus' disdain for the Marauders can be understood in terms of the history they shared, he disliked Gryffindor students in general, considering them to be arrogant and attention-seeking, with no regard for school rules (or in his own words, "brawny rather than brainy").

Remus was very intelligent, calm, tolerant, gentle, and good-natured. Despite having suffered a great deal of prejudice in his life due to his lycanthropy, he managed to retain an ability to see the good in almost everybody and was extremely forgiving. He also had an excellent sense of humour and, when he was a student at school, was one of the Marauders. However, unlike his friends, he never partook in bullying, being personally against such behaviour, and hence could be described as the most mature one of the group. He even became a Prefect in his fifth year.Also, unlike his friends, he was able to, or at least would try to maintain civil conversation with those he did not get along well with, a notable example being Snape.

History:
Remus was born on 10 March, 1960 to Mr. and Mrs. Lupin. Little is known about his life as a human. At an early age, Remus was bitten by a werewolf, Fenrir Greyback, after his father insulted Greyback, and became a werewolf himself. His parents did everything that they could in order to try to find a cure for him, but there was none. Although he and his parents were unsure of the safety of allowing him to attend school at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, did not see why he could not attend and encouraged him to become a student.

Remus attended Hogwarts from 1971 to 1978 and was sorted into Gryffindor house. To secure his safety as well as that of his peers Remus would be brought to the Shrieking Shack once a month for his transformations in order to prevent him from attacking other students. However, this isolation caused him to attack himself out of frustration. This and the painful monthly transformations made the villagers of Hogsmeade mistake his screams for that of violent ghosts. Dumbledore, wanting to keep the truth of these noises a secret, encouraged these rumors. Thus, the building was dubbed the Shrieking Shack and attained the reputation for being the most haunted building in Britain.

Remus became the very best of friends with fellow Gryffindors James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew. He kept his status as a werewolf a secret from all of the students at Hogwarts, including James, Sirius, and Peter, and made up stories to explain his monthly disappearances, such as that his mother was ill and he needed to go home to visit her. He was terrified that they would desert him once they found out what he truly was. However, James, Sirius, and Peter worked out the truth during their second year, and due to their acceptance of who Remus was, and their unusually strong friendship with him, they decided to learn how to become Animagi in order to keep Remus company during his transformations, as a werewolf is only a danger to humans. By their fifth year, James was able to become a stag, and Sirius was able to become a dog, animals large enough to keep the wolfish Remus in check. Peter ,meanwhile, was able to become a rat,. Once a month during the full moon, James, Sirius, and Peter would sneak out of the castle under James's Invisibility Cloak, transform, get into the Whomping Willow, walk down the tunnel, and meet up with Remus in the Shrieking Shack. Under their influence, Lupin became tame; his body was still a wolf's, but his mind became less so when he was with them. The four of them soon left the Whomping Willow and would roam among the school grounds and Hogsmeade by night. , . Eventually, this group of friends came to call themselves the Marauders, and Remus' friends nicknamed him "Moony" because of his transformations during every full moon.

Description:
Remus is described as having a pale face with premature lines, and light brown hair that, with each book, becomes more and more grey. The lines on his face and his greying hair were the results of the great deal of stress his body underwent with each full moon.His clothing throughout the series is consistently shabby and patched, presumably because of his inability to find a decently-paid job due to his status as a werewolf.
Though he was sorted into Gryffindor and displayed great bravery on numerous occasions, Remus once claimed that he was cowardly, because he was unable to bring himself to tell Dumbledore that James, Sirius, and Peter were Animagi, as it would have meant that he had betrayed the Headmaster's trust, which was everything to him. He also said he did not have the guts to tell James and Sirius to stop bullying Snape. Harry once called him a coward because he regretted conceiving a child with Tonks, the woman who loved him despite his werewolf condition. Nevertheless, when it came to defending his friends and loved ones, Remus was selfless and courageous, showing that he had the heart of a Gryffindor.

Sirius wheeled his trolley casually through the barrier that led to platfor Nine and Three Quarters like he did every year. His friends wouldn't be able to find him as a human in the crowd so he hid behind a podium and changed to his Animagus form.A Great Black dog.

Lily rolled her eyes at the sour expression her sister Petunia was giving off. Sighing,Lily smiled,"Tuney,you know I'll write."
"I don't want your letters!Freak!"She retorted,turning her back.
