A Forgotten Dream [1x1]

"I think I could get used to this," he said, wrapping one arm around her. He smiled and kissed the top of her head, then he closed his eyes. "Goodnight, I love you," he said before he took a deep breath. Lucas finally drifted off to sleep after a while of enjoying the warmth of Tori.

The next morning, Lucas woke up with Tori still beside him. He smiled as he pulled her closer, kissing her forehead. "Morning," he said, smiling.

Tori watched as Lucas fell asleep. She smiled and caressed his hair and kissed his forehead. She fell asleep moment later.

Tori fluttered her eyes open as she saw Lucas. She smiled, "Good morning." she said as she looks away and yawned. She slowly got up and stretched."Are you getting that cast off sometime today?" she asked him smiling. She was happy that he no longer had to suffer that terrible cast. She takes his hand in hers as she helps him up. tori picked up his crutches and hands it to him. "Hungry?" she smiled and opened the door for him.

Lucas sat up when Tori did so, and grabbed his crutches out of her hands. He stood up carefully, not wanting to strain himself. He crutched over to the door and stopped infront of Tori. "Yep," he said, looking at her. "Doctors appointment at twelve and physical therapy at two." He gave her a kiss on the cheek as he left the room, waiting at the top of the staircase for her.

"I kinda have to learn how to walk again," he added, sadness jn his voice. After that he could play soccer again. It Ew realtime tearing him up inside that he couldn't play, and now he was just one step closer to living his dream.

Tori walked over to beside him on the top of the staircase. James, the butler walks over to the bottom step, "Breakfast is served." he said as he gestures his hand towards the dining room. Tori helped Lucas down the steps, slowly and carefully. They reached the bottom of the floor where it's beautifully covered in marble. Her parents were quite famous and wealthy, but barely anyone knows they have a daughter. They don't like to brag about her since it will ruin their reputation. TOri doesn't mind, she wouldn't like all the attention and noise anyways.

Tori pulled the chair for Lucas then she sat down beside him. She grabbed the napkin and placed it on her lap as she began to eat the eggs. Tori was full of manners, poise, and ettiquet. She grew up that way, some people consider her behaviour princess-like but that's not what she's aiming for.

Tori took a piece of bread and began to ate. Usually, it was just her eating all alone in this large dining room. It was lonely and empty. Bit she's glad that Lucas is here to accompany her. "Is your mother picking you up?" she asked him as she wiped her mouth and finished eating.

Lucas sat down and watched Tori eat for a moment, then trying to mimic her manners. He never spent much time looking good when he ate, just shoveling food into his mouth and getting the bothersome task of eating over with. He focused on not looking like a slob and looking some what elegant.

He pulled out his phone and texted his mom. 'Please come and pick me up from Tori's. Thanks.' it read, then he shoved his phone back in his pocket. "Yeah," he said, answering her question. He stood up and held his arms out for a hug. Tori's warmth against him was one of his favorite things about her, and he wanted to experience it again before he left.

Tori stood up and gave him a hug. She escorted him to the door and waved goodbye. She had a smile on her face at first, but the moment he left her smile disappeared. She looked down and closed their large mansion door.

Tori ran up to her room as she took a quick shower and changed into some casual clothings. She walked outside and headed towards the park. The park had a nature trail that most people enjoyed to walk and see the beautiful trees. Especially this spring where the trees blossomed flowers.

Tori shoved her hands down her Jean pockets and began to stroll slowly. The trail was quite long and it was a beautiful day outside today. As she continued to walk, she saw Sandra and her gang. At first she thought, could they be following me? but then Sandra walked up to her and began to fix her hair.

"So......where is Lucas?" Sandra asked Tori.

Tori gave her a confused look, "U-ummmm....he's at the hospital right now." Tori responded.

Sandra looked at her mad. The reason Sandra followed Tori was because she thought that she could ask Lucas to prom, but the moment she found out that he wasnt there, her mood suddenly changed. Sandra always hated how Victoria would always hang out with Lucas. Which meant that Sandra hated Tori.

Sandra walked over, closer, to Tori as she pushes her to the bare bushes and chuckled as she walked away. Tori slope got up, but her arm and part of her legs were cut by the thorns of the bush. Finally, she was able to get up, but her legs were filled with small, and some big, cuts and so were her arms. She then went back to her house and started treating the wounds before they got infected.

Lucas came through the door of the hospital for his follow up appointment. He was greeted by a young male nurse, who escorted him back into Dr. Morissions office."Looking good, Lucas," the doctor said as Lucas took a seat on a chair."You'll be able to get that hard cast off today and then youll be put in a soft boot to start physical therapy tomorrow." He srarted, looking over his clipboard of notes.

After the cast was taken off, Lucas got his first taste if what it was like to walk again. He stumbled a lot, but he was determined to push through it to play soccer again. He sent a text to Tori, saying, 'Hey love, got my cast off.(: you wanna hang out?'

Tori felt her phone vibrate on her short's pocket. She pulls it put and register a new message. It was from Lucas! She opened it and beganto read. She then replied, 'Id love to. Where should we meet?' she clicked send button and went into her closet. Though it was 90 degrees outside, she needed to wear a long sleeve and jeans to hide the cuts she got. She picked up a purple long sleeves and some light jeans. Then she headed out and went inside her car. She figured she might as well pick him up from the hospital rather than making things difficult.

A couple minutes later, she reached the hospital. She parked her car and went inside as she waited in the lobbyfor Lucas.

Lucas was put on one crutch, to use like a came for support. He made his way out to the lobby and he smiled wide when he saw Tori standing there. "Hey," he said cheerfully. "Where would you like to go?" He waved to his mother and then walked out to the parking lot and found Tori's car. He got over to it only stumbling a few times, and when he got to it he leaned his weight on the car. His leg was really giving home torture, and he had the cast off for maybe an hour.

Lucas hopped in the passenger seat when the car was unlocked and waited for Tori. It didn't matter where they went as long as he was with her he was happy.

Tori walked behind Lucas as he slowly made his way to her car. She smiled and got in the divers seat. She looked over to Lucas and leaned in, giving him a kiss on his cheek.

"How are you?" she asked. She tried her best not to touch him too much for the cuts on her arms hurts. She then started the car and drove to the theaters. She figured that it would be a nice place to hang out without having him move around too much.

She parked at the theaters parking lot and quickly got out of the car and opened his car door. She helped him out as she walked over to the tickets and looked at the moie screenings, "What would you like to watch?" she asked him.
