Lucas smiled a bit at her, but he knew something was wrong. He would talk about her about it later. He went to the elevator and hopped in, riding it up to the second floor. Most of his classes where on the second floor, just another inconvenience. He saw Sandra and didn't make eye contact with her. "Hey boy," she said, smiling. Lucas didn't bother to look at her, knowing what kind of bully she was. As he hobbled down he hallway, but stopped and tilted his head as he heard what sounded like sobbing. He moved toward the sound, and after a moment he realized it was Tori. "Tori?" he called, pressing his ear to the door of the bathroom.
"Tori, please come out here," he said, his face fallen sad. The bell hadn't rung yet, so he contemplated barging in on her. He had realized that their friendship had been strained since he broke his leg, but he hoped it would get better in time. He took a deep breath and pushed open the door, gasping when he saw her crying. "What's wrong?" he said, his eyes sad.
