Okay everyone! You are accepted. Celebrate and rejoice!
Now here are my character.
Name: Morgan Knight
Age: 16
Type: Basic/Witch
Species: Sub-Human/Soothsayer
Appearance: Morgan is a shortie at 4.8 feet. She has long black hair, that she often keeps in a simple braid. When it is down, it is very curly. Not in the good way, in the unmanageable frizzy looking way. She has a square, youthful face, a rounded chin, and slanted cat like eyes in the manner of the Soothsayers. She has a slight tan much of the time, and an unfortunate amount of freckles. She is marked on her right side by the strange, complex, crimson tattoos of her mothers tribe. She is well-toned, but has a rather underdeveloped body. If she is staying with her father, she often wears a loose fitting plum jumpsuit, when she is with her mother, she wears the traditional hunting garb. She has chosen to stick with the jumpsuit during her stay at the academy, but has brought the more decorative hunting garb for special occasions.
Personality: Morgan is what you could call a "go-getter". She has been raised to make up her own mind, stick to her ideals, and to stay optimistic. As a cross-breed, she already has an extremely unbiased attitude, and can't stand it when people try to judge her according to either of heritages. Not that she isn't proud of them, she just likes to feel like her own individual, not simply a mesh-mash of her parents. She lacks in what one may term "social graces" as the Soothsayers consider anything except brutal honesty insulting flattery, and her fathers scout ship isn't a place to pick up good manners. She is very loyal to those she likes, and will often basically force them to be her friend.
History: Morgans history starts years before she was born. Her mother, Nim, had finally "came of age" and was to chose a husband from her clans brother tribe. It wasn't that she was against marriage, but at this point, most of the people in her brother tribe were related to her in someway, and recent wars had met she spent far more time with them then she normally would. Needless to say, this just made things a little creepy. So when the exotic Sub-Human, Scout Ship Captain Weston Knight, crashed practically in her lap, she immediately was smitten. Knight was quite a bit older then the young soothsayer, and becasue of this, he was reluctant to ignite a romance. During his time waiting for the rescue ship however, he began to see her maturity, and reluctantly admitted there was an attraction. Despite the initial "We can't allow his blood in our tribe!" Feelings, Nim's mother finally accepted that her daughter would only be happy with the undesirable sub-human. So, turning on a dime, she asked/demanded/threaten with the most fiendish curse known to her people if he didn't, Weston to return to the tribe and marry Nim with in the next three years.
The marriage was a happy one, considering the circumstances. In keeping with the tradition of the Soothsayers, Weston was only allowed to see his bride once ever three months, and his duties often kept him away. In fact, he didn't even know he was to be a father until his wife was eight months pregnant. Morgan was born a healthy child, and was raised primarily by her mother, seeing her father only as often as Nim did. But, when she turned ten, Weston decided that she needed her father, and suggested the "six-month split" to Nim. Nim's mother objected strongly. It wasn't the Soothsayer way. But, Nim, being the modern-minded lady she is, decided she liked the idea of her husband having their daughter around and agreed.
All went well for five, until a certain rival of Westons pointed out the fact she wasn't in school. Loathing the idea of sending her to a school where she would despised for being a cross-breed, Weston and Nim scrimped and saved to send her to the Nexus Academy. This will be her first year.
