A large space station suspended in a rift between dimensions, Nexus Academy provides an incredible learning experience. Creatures from all over the different planets and demisinsions are gathered in one place to learn to appreciate each others differences and how to work and live together in a multi-verse that is quickly becoming more and more united.
You application has been excepted and now you are entering this incredible establishment for the first time. Will you excel? Will you fail? What if no one likes you? Do you even want to be here? The only way to find the answers is to read on.
Rules:
Follow all official Chicken Smoothie Rules.
No godmodding or powerplaying.
Post at least once every three days. If you can not do this for some reason, but want to get back with the roleplay eventually, PM me and we will arrange an IC explanation (a family emergency calls him/her home, ect.)
Profanity is discouraged. It makes you and your character appear immature. But, if there is an extremely stressful situation, I will tolerate a quick censored d*nm.
While I don’t have a word limit on posts, I would prefer it if you don’t just post a one liner. Remember to describe your characters mood and thought as well as his/her gestures. And there is one basic rule. INTERACT, INTERACT, INTERACT. This is the whole point of roleplaying.
------------------------------------------------
IC Rules (You can break these, but they will have consequences in character, and repeated/serious, offenses could get you expelled. Then again, this is only if you get caught.)
The dress code must be respected during class hours. Whatever your everyday clothing, make an effort to appear professional. Please refrain from wearing jeans, undershirts, tube-tops, shorts, tee-shirts, tank-tops,short skirts, or tight jumpsuits. It goes without saying that swim-ware is prohibited. If you attend class in improper clothing, you will be sent to change and you will be marked tardy.
NOTE: I understand that some cultures give their clothing a certain ritualistic significance, while other races, paticularly the ones with body fur or shells, find clothing uncomfortable. If this is your case, please come to my office to clear things up.
Headmaster Leeng
Nexus Academy is proud to boast students of many different cultures and races. The purpose of our institute is to strengthen the bonds between the races of this universe and others. Therefore, if you are caught making racial slurs towards your fellow students, you will be expected to make a public apology to the student in question, and then be punished further according to the nature the nature of your statements.
At the first sign of sickness (Sore throat, coughing, excessive shedding, premature molts, vomiting, brittle claws, fevers, inflamed gills, ect.) report to the doctors office IMMEDIATELY, We can not stress this enough. Some of our students come from a sterile environment and are VERY INTOLERENT OF GERMS, and it would be catastrophic of one of them where exposed to infection.
Time travel is a complicated, and often dangerous, activity and is not to be preformed without an authorized instructor.
Pets are forbidden. Service animals and familiars are allowed, but due to past events, we must ask owners to be sure that their helpers do not eat any of the other creatures in the Academy.
Likewise, Predator Races are not allowed to eat their teachers or fellow students. If you experience annual “Blood-Lusts”, inform the Headmistress so that she may make the necessary arrangements.
Any after-hour boy/girl activity is strictly prohibited. Any violators will be punished and their parents/creator/legal guardian will be informed.
NOTE: Do not try to bend this rule by performing your “activities” in the day-time. The consequences are the same.
Headmaster Leeng
Report to your quarters by Ten PM. The lights will turn out at Ten Thirty. If you are outside your quarters after-hours, you will be questioned. Any punishment from there on is relative.
Radioactive students must stay in their containment suits at all times. We apologize for any discomfort this may cause.
Absolutely no damage must been done to the walls of time and space. Break this rule and you will get expelled.

Character Guide:
Race Types (Every race has a type. If you make up your own alien, make sure it fits into one or two of these types. Of course, this list is incomplete. If you want to suggest a new type, I am all ears. If you mix types (Make a Aquatic/Witch race for example) make sure they do not conflict. That is all)
Aquatic Type - There is a large verity of Aquatic races. Most, but not all, have gills and need to wear special tanks to give them oxygen. All of them need to stay moist, and are often provided with special lotions to carry around. A few that come from deep seas wear to allow them to cope with the alien environment. Those who are non-humanoid are provided transportable tanks.
Examples: Rota (Large jellyfish like being. Often pale white, though some have a pinkish or blue tinge. Scientifically advanced. Non-humanoid.) Argentos (Tall creatures known for their elaborate robes. Range from silver to brown to multi-colored. Great warriors and artists. Humanoid.) Merfolk (Do not have gills, require a motorized chair to travel on land. Appearances and cultures vary), Frog-Men (Slave race, about four feet, often have a fairly limited vocabulary and are prone to speaking in third person).
Predator Type - A much larger type then others, Predator Races are all aggressive hunters. Though typically able to control their urges, a few races undergo a period where they are forced to give in to their bestial urges and hunt anything, or anyone, in their path.
Examples: Vampires (Vary from planet to planet, universe to universe. A sub-species all their own) , Scylaks (Spider-like shape-shifters. Technically Witch/Predator. Experiences a blood lust every ten years.) Lyacons (Think were-wolves, except without the shape-shifting. Normally a peaceful, civilized, and surprisingly artistic race. Blood lust is every five months.)
Witch Type - Witch types have a talent for “dark” magic (shape-shifting, curses, ect.). Most experts consider this a sub-category.
Cybernetic Type - Any non-organic race. Can range from robots to sentient computer programs in robotic shells. A lot more obscure then most types.
Basic Type - These include all races without a feature that really stands out. Among them are Humans, Sub-Humans, Corrians (a close relative to the human. Known for their strange, multi-colored skin. Very good at telepathy.) and the popularly termed “Anthros” (sub-humans with animal features but none of the abilities.)
Character Application
Name: Obvious. Don’t make it too long, or hard to pronounce.
Age: Once again, obvious. (Don’t worry if your aliens age a lot quicker, or slower, then humans. All we care about is their physical age.)
Type: You are free to invent a new type, but only if you PM me a basic description so I can add it to the list.
Species: Use your imagination, or use one I provided in the examples. (On the off chance you want to use a race that exists in one of your favorite TV shows/Comics/ you get the idea, mention the canon it belongs to. And remember, you are only allowed to use the basic race. You are not allowed to mention any of the canon characters or events in the roleplay.)
Appearance: Once again, basic.
Personality: Everyone has flaws. If they are exceptionally talented or popular, there is a very good chance that this goes to their head. Don’t be afraid to make you character unperfect. It will just feel more down to earth and real.
History: (Optional) No, they are not penniless orphans. They have been sent to a prestigious, and highly unusual, school. There is someone who cares about them enough to do that. Quick warning: if you play the, “I have been sent to boarding school so that my parents can get rid of me,” angle I will roll my eyes, and may have have to laugh my rear-end off. Parents do not get rid of their kids by paying a high tuition to send them to a trans-dimensional school. If you’re character was neglected/orphaned, they probably had to work hard to earn the scholarship and are quite eager to be there. (Of course, if you want your character to wrongly believe his parents are trying to get rid of him, and/or have the parents have an annoying “it’s for your own good” attitude, that would have the makings of a good back-story.)

Alien Dictionary
Xetian (pronounced se-ti-an) are humanoid creatures that made their lives in the earths oceans in recent history with no clue as to how they got there.
Their build is fairly short, the females averaging a dainty 5'0 and the males averaging 5'6. Their thin, sensitive skin is white and their backs, joints and face are blotched lightly with different colors. The colors vary depending on food and location. For example, those who diet mostly on shrimp will be tinted pink and those who live off of algae and seaweed will be be greenish. Then those who live in shallower water and those who live in deeper water will be lighter and darker respectively. They can live both in and out of water, as they have both gills and lungs. Despite this, most choose to remain underwater. Two rows of oval shaped holes in the skin run down the back on either side of the spine, in which blue glowing spheres stick out slightly.
A long lizard esque tail acts as a defense when their speed fails them, and like a lizards tail, can fall off and regrow. Although it only serves to slow them down in the water. They can easily manage a speed of 50 mph for long distances, but without their tail they can manage 60-65. Some have their tails intentionally removed just for this reason, so it's not uncommon to see them lacking the appendage. Their eyesight is poor, but their hearing is triple the average humans. On land, they're agile but easily drained of energy. Very sensitive in changes in the atmosphere so they mostly live in places where the weather is fairly consistent year round. They can be speak human tongue and are on roughly the same intelligence level as humans.
They have long ears that close upon entering the water and hair that's either white, black, grey or silver. Although it's not quiet like human hair, and more like pencil thick strands with a texture like smooth rubber.
They're a fairly secluded race, stand offish towards other species but social and friendly within their own families and groups. They prefer to mind their own business but they do have a connection with the humans, bordering somewhere between mutual and friendly.
