Victoria looked at him surprised at his question. Then she smirked teasingly, "Why yes, I mean no one else asked me." she said in a serious tone, but she was only trying to tease Aer. She looked up in his eyes, his beautiful eyes sparkled like the sun shining on the surface of the ocean. She raised her hand and placed it on his cheek, caressing it gently as she leans in and.....kisses his nose. She chuckled lightly and hugged him again.

"I love you." she said with all her heart while her arms were gently around him. Tori closed her eyes while she listened to his heart beating.

[Cloudsong]

Aer bit his lip, raising an eyebrow. "Well I know of one other person who would ask you," he said slowly, winking. Then his expression became quite serious as he said; "Victoria, would you want to be my girlfriend?" He had never asked this to a girl before- never felt this way about anyone... Anxiety filled him as he waited for her answer.

Then he hesitated, hearing the three words he had longed to hear for so long... The words he had never thought he would hear. "I love you too," he whispered, meaning every word of it. And I always have. Even when they were just friends, he had loved her like a sister. Now.. now it was more than that. Silently he reached out and gently pulled her face towards his. Without thinking it through, he leaned down and kissed her on the lips, one hand gently placed behind her head, in her hair.

Victoria gasped as he asked her the question. She smiled, "Yes, I would love to." she replied blushing. Her eyes fell to the ground while her cheeks flushed a Color of pink. When he said those three words, her heart fluttered and she could feel the butterflies in her stomach. A smile came across her lips in his response. Even though he looked serious, that showed just how much he loves her.

Tori looked at him while he pulled her closer. Then her eyes widen, surprised that he...he kissed her. Her eyes slowly closed, locking her soft lips on his. She could feel a warm feeling take over her while their lips were pressed. She didn't want to pill away, nor did she want this feeling to end. So, she stayed in that position for a while until he pulled away.

Aer pulled away after a moment, obviously surprised that she hadn't wrenched herself away from her. She said yes. He could never be happier. For a long moment he was silent, as he stared at his hand, a small smile on his face. "You know..." His voice trailed off, and he shot a side-glance over at her. "I'm not really looking forward to the people at school when they figure this out." He shook his head. School was going to be over soon, and then... then there would be no pressure. Would it be possible for them to keep it a secret until then? He knew that many people would be amazed that she would ever fall for someone like... him. It would be easy to hide.. And maybe it would be for the best.

Victoria slowly opened her eyes once he pulled away. A smile pulled across her face while she looks at him. Then her smile disappeared when he mentioned about school. Tori placed her hands on his cheek, moving them towards her direction. Given him a soft, gentle smile.

"If you're thinking of keeping this all a secret. No. Not a chance. I want the world to know that were together." she smiled and gave him a soft kiss on his cheek. Then she looked deeply into his eyes. Tori would rather have everyone hate her than keep them being together a secret. She loves him and everyone can accept that or they can get out of her life. Tori disliked how Aer was always worried about how other people will think of him. All she wants is for him to do what he loves and not care about others opinion. Tori looked at Aer worried, reaching for his hand while she holds them and caresses them softly.

[Cloudsong]

Aer felt a slight feel of relief at her words, but still was unsure. "But... you are aware of how people will think badly of you..." His voice trailed off. He could hear their insults now; them being surprised that the "nerd" had gotten a date with such a beautiful girl. Aer wasn't ugly, but no one ever bothered to look twice to see beyond those big glasses of his. No one had, except for Victoria. He smiled slightly, stroking her hand gently. "I'm not worried about me, but people like Aaron won't understand." Aaron would be furious, he was most certain of it. But the thought of the guy trying to beat him up didn't bother him anymore. Now that he was sure that Victoria wasn't to go with him, and that she was his now, it was all such a relief...

Victoria was still smiling. Aer was completely worrying about nothing because she didn't care what other people thought. The only person she cares about is him. Reaching over to his face, Tori pulls his large glasses and pulls it out. A soft gasp released from her lips then a smile. Her hand gently caressed his cheek, "Why do you wear these glasses? You're covering your handsome face...." she said curiously. He was quite handsome, no- he was very handsome, more handsome than anyone in school. But his large glasses covers it up. Tori pulls Aer into a hug with her eyes closed. Her heart felt like it skipped a beat each time they touch.

[Cloudsong]

"I need them," Aer replied uneasily, looking away, obviously embarrassed by her compliment. It wasn't every day that people called him 'handsome'. "And besides... I don't want anyone to look at me like that." It would make him feel uncomfortable to have everyone pointing and whispering behind his back... He would become like Aaron was; always being followed around by girls, and being irritated. The thought wasn't a good one. Feeling slightly self-conscious without his glasses, he reached over and took them back from her, tracing his fingers along the frame. The glass was thick; he obviously had bad eyesight. But there was no reason for him to wear such nerdy ones.

Victoria looked down, her eyes traced the outline of her feet and toes. She made Aer feel uneasy and self-conscious about his glasses. Her head kept itself down, biting her bottom lip. Then she wordlessly walks over to the bed and crawls under the blanket while she closes her eyes.

Her mind was filled with sadness and how bad she made Aer feel. All she wanted was for his handsome face to be seen by everyone besides her, but he doesn't want it and she doesn't understand why. He was never the one to talk and tends to just listen to her. Which she didn't mind, but she would also like it if he shared a little bit more to her too.

Tori let out a yawn, her eyes water as they open. She wipes the false tears and looked at Aer. "Stop hiding behind those glasses...." she whispered very softly. Closing her gray eyes shut, while she tries to catch some sleep. She tossed to the other side and faced the wall while she finds a comfortable position.

[Cloudsong]

Aer bit his lip as Victoria climbed into bed, seeing her disappointment. As soon as he could see that she was fast asleep, he let off a long sigh, leaning his head up against the wall. Perhaps she was right.. What if he was being silly by putting on those huge glasses every day? And then he realized that if he did do what she had asked him to do, then all these problems - what people would think about her - would all go away. They wouldn't view them being together as something ridiculous if they saw what he really looked like. Silently he opened his eyes and straightened up, standing up and stretching. He felt selfish for wanting to keep his glasses on... Wanting to keep his real appearance hidden. For a few moments he felt content to just watch her sleep.

Again, he sighed, and approached his desk. Slowly taking off his large glasses, he ruffled around in his desk, picking up a small container. Inside, he had contact lenses. He had never worn them, having believed it a better idea to stay with his normal look. But now, he felt it necessary. Putting his glasses inside of the drawer, he pushed them to the back, closing them up again. As he placed the lenses inside of his eyes, flinching slightly, he knew that this was the beginning of a new era.

How would the people at school react now? He wasn't looking forward to finding out the next morning.
