Anne`s smile faded
"thats a shame, well if you change your mind,say," she said with a sigh. She walked out of the room looking rather sad. one of the servants laughed
"Her and animals, there`s not a day when she doesn`t take an animal home from the streets," said the servant.

Daniel entered Anne`s houe whistling. He entered the hall and grinned at Al then looked at Darius with his eyebrows raised.

Darius glanced at the boy who had walked in and cocked an eyebrow in return. It was a silent challenge for the boy, for him to ask what a young man holding a saxophone was doing in his house. Darius finished his pizza, wiped his hands on his pants, then said to Al and Anne, "We should get started- it's four o'clock, and I need to be home by ten, so I'll have to leave at nine to pick up Lil and commute home. That gives us five hours- will it be enough?"

"We're not doing much today, we're going to figger out what music your going to play," said Al. Daniel looked at Anne
"And he is," he said pointing to Darius. Anne sighed and grabbed Daniels phone
"Will you look up from that phone for on minute, this is Darius," she said with a small sigh.

Darius shouldered his saxophone and stepped up to Daniel, offering a hand. "In case you didn't hear Anne, I'm Darius Van Halen. It's a pleasure to meet you, Daniel."

Daniel looked at his hand
"Nice to meet you," he said. He turned to Anne
"Give me my phone lil sis," he said and made a grab for his phone. But Anne quickly threw it into the air and caught it in her other hand

"Aaaand you left me hanging," said Darius, bringing his hand up and grabbing his saxophone from his shoulder. Looking at Al, he said, "I'm better playing Jazz and Blues, but I can play rock if need be."

Al nodded
"You wont have to play much rock," he said. Daniel had got his phone back
"Wow you guys are soooo boring," he said with a small smile.

"An author, huh?" said Darius, reiterating what Anne had said about Daniel. "It figures. Dry, boring, cads, authors are." He turned back to Al and nodded. "Alright, so, what is the musical basically about? I need to be... inspired to play in the right mood."

Daniel snorted
"At least have money and can feed my animals and dont play that," he said nodding to the saxaphone. Anne grabbed his phone and stepped on it
"My phone! I`m going to kill you," he said glaring at Nne.

Darius' eyebrows shot up when Anne stepped on her brother's phone. "Um, Anne?" he said cautiously, "I'm pretty sure that phone costs around a hundred dollars." He had basically ignored everything that Daniel had said, for he had once heard a joke that went something like, "What's the difference between a park bench and an author? Well, a park bench can... support a family." He chuckled aloud, remembering the joke.
