Jack Vessalius }
I'm not a hero.
The group in the hand-to-hand arena was
quite the noisy bunch. Jack was watching them curiously as he braided. It was hard to think such young teens who got along ( somewhat, at least ) would be fighting each other to the death any minute now. As he watched, he couldn't help but laugh at them a bit. A pleasant smile crept over his lips. One of the boys below seemed to be from a similar time as him -- a black haired boy with an eye patch. The others, he was not so sure ; they looked very odd in their clothing. Jack noticed that he had finally reached the end of his hair. Holding it with one hand, he used the other to find a turquoise blue tie in his pocket. He tied it securely, as to make sure it wouldn't come undone while he was fighting whoever.
He noticed someone else arrive and sit down a few seats away from him. His face lit up when he noticed who it was -- the little blonde girl. Grinning, Jack waved to her, even though he wasn't sure she noticed him. "
Hi, unknown-name girl! " he called to her. After all, he didn't know her name -- their conversation from yesterday had been cut short.
