"My father scares me too." Shane says, watching Cal.

Taylor nodded. "Tell him to find someone to race him" Taylor said quietly.

"You really think he will listen?" Shane asked. "I need one more strike and I don't get the ranch he bought me for my birthday in two days. If I get in trouble one more time I don't get the ranch. And he won't allow me to pick any three slaves to take." he explains

"So he is picking them for you?" she asked curiously.

[Better Dig Two]

"If I get in too much trouble. If I don't get in any trouble I get to pick." Shane explains, leaning against the fence.

"Well, don't get in any trouble" she said with a smile.

"I won't, promise. I already know who I'm taking." Shane says with a smile.

"Is that so?" she asked, teasingly. She smiled, looking up to the sky.

"Yes, yes it is." Shane says watching Cal, glancing over at Taylor.

Taylor smiled as Cal trotted over to her, nuzzling her.
