Bryn smiled. She looked up when someone cleared their throat behind them.

Darren looked up and tilted his head

Bryn looked up and nearly flinched from the glare. He was one of the higher ups.

"Vampires don't belong in our meeting."

"He's..." Her voice squeaked. A hungry vampire, she could face down. But not him. "He's with me. I'll vouch for him." She kept her arms around him.

Darren gulped, his head hung as he took a deep breath.

Bryn whispered in her mind. Never back down. Stay strong. She gripped his shirt as he pointed outside.

"Outside. Now."

"But sir, he's my escort." Bryn looked at him with pleading eyes.

Darren looked up at the guy ''she was...ordered that i do not leave her side'' he said quietly

The higher up, Stephan, looked at them. "Who?"

Bryn bowed her head. "Sir Zachary, sir."

Stephan straightened up. "That fool. Alright. You can stay. But if I see fangs, or anything vampiric, I will run a stake through your heart. Understood."

Bryn gripped his shirt.

Darren gulped deeply then nodded nervously,a worried look on his face

Bryn held onto him when Stephan walked away. She cupped his face to look at her. She whispered, "Imagine we are the only two here with music. Ignore Stephan."
