Darren heard what she thought and pulled away, standing up and growling lowly, a dark frown on his face, a pained expression on his face.

"Darren, what's wrong?" Bryn looked at him, her eyebrows knit in confusion.

''i am not acting as as if nothings happened... If you'd lived for as long as me you'd know not to let things get to you...'' Darren said in despair, a sad look spreading across his face

Bryn's eyes widened. She got up and came over to him. "Darren... I didn't mean it like that. I didn't know you could read my mind completely like that." She cupped his face. "Please. I'm so sorry." She stroked his cheeks, feeling everything inside her break because of his expression, because of his feelings.

Darren sighed deeply and a single tear rolled down his cheek ''Memories...they tie you down...'' he mumbled quietly as he put his arms round her.

Bryn wiped the tear away. She hugged him, not daring to let go or pull back. "I'm sorry. Is there anything..." She didn't know what to do.

''nothing you can do...'' Darren said quietly, holding her as close as possible.

Bryn held onto him. She cupped his chin ever so gently and tilted his head up so they were eye to eye. "I love you Darren." She leaned up and kissed him. "And I will do anything to get you to smile again."

Darren went scarlet in the face and looked at her, a small smile edging onto his face as he looked into her eyes. He then pressed his lips to hers before pulling back and hugging her gently ''i...love you too'' he admitted

Bryn blushed a deep red, looking at Darren with a small smile. She hugged him, feeling much better and feeling everything start to mend.
