Eli let go of the string, and sent the arrow flying. He felt like an idiot staring up at the sky like that, back to back with Karen, looking to see where the leaves rustled with it coming down.

Karen grinned and blinked as the arrow rushed down, an inch from her head. "Nice shot", she commented, taking the bow off him.

"Wasn't trying. Just a lucky shot, I guess." Eli said, passing her the bow.

Karen hefted the bow and with a satirical smile fired it. She waited for it to come down.
