((yes, i've had cliff bars, and yes, some are discusting, but the peanut butter ones are ok. lol. ummm, Roxy, Velor is way too strong and is not near them yet,it's the middle of the night, and the Train is moving very fast. but, ok...?))
Jaquel's eyes jolted awake when the Train stopped moving. "Huh?" he gasped, surprised because he hadn't known he had drifted off and was leaning against Violet, who was leaning against Vivian, you looked squashed. "Sorry!" he said quickly, and looked around to see what was going on. Banjo was calling, "Get on the 'rain! We gotta keep goin'!" after someone: Roxy. Her pale form was moving off into the night, bow and arrow in hand. Remus got up and went to stand by the old man. "Come back!" he warned. Jaquel, dizzy, and reached for the water canister and took a long sip. The resources were running low, but the palest light in the distance marked the lantern hung by the old sign that read, "Nugget: 20 miles". He took in the others. Jaquel was sitting at the edge of one of the two benches. Violet, next to him, looked just plain tired and a lot better, her soft breathing even. Vivian, next to her, was staring off into the darkness, apparently not hearing (or for that matter caring) what was going on. Then there was Erik, looking after Roxy. That was it for his row. Then Remus, scowling, gently holding up Lily but who had moved to stand by Banjo. Lily was fast asleep, leaning on him, looking disturbed. On the other side was an empty spot where Roxy had been laying, and Vahn was watching everybody else's moves too, sitting across from Jaquel. Then there was nobody else on that bench either. In the middle of this there was a rickety chair where Banjo had been a moment before and the long, wooden pulley that he pumped up and down to get the small cart to go. Jaquel smelled the Alpha, Velor, and two scents he didn't reconize. He got up and ran after Roxy, looking around and hoping for a clue as to who the smells belonged to.
Lily stirred, her eyes finally focusing. Her neck felt creaky and she was starving. There was a huge fuss about her. She struggled to sit up and asked Erik what was going on.
Remus, who had been so comfy before, was now panicked and irritated. Seeing Jaquel go after her, he smelled it too: new scents. He told Vivian, trying not to feel thirsty.
Banjo was not the least bit tired. He yelled after the Jaquel and the young vampire, then settled down on his chair, waiting. If he knew anything, it was that theses creatures had a mind of their own. He took out an apple from his traveling pack and bit into it, then offered one to Lily, another friend of his.
Velor scampered around weeds and rocks in the tracks, then paused and sniffed. Even as a human, he could smell lika a werewolf, like the best tracker he was. He smelled many things, but took no notice. He ran on, hoping to get to Nugget before they did.
