Fanged Moon (Vampire\Werewolf battle) NEEDS MEMBERS BADLY!

Jaquel hurried up to the tree that hid the armor. He dug at it's roots and pulled out about 10 huge, heavy bags. Jaquel pulled out a large blue chain-suit chest protecter and a metal helmet, boots, and pants. He grabbed a dagger, which he tucked into his armor pocket, and slid them over his werewolf body, fitting it with his paws. He put the helmet on his head and rose the blue fringe (whatever you call those puffy things) to fit it. He heard pawstelps in the distanace and knew his pack was coming.


Lily ran to get help.

Among the pack was a sleek, brown-and-black figure with piercing violet eyes, which had a grim look to them. Earlier, Violet had taken Jaquel's advice of trying to will herself into becoming a werewolf--she had undressed in one of the huts, first--and had opened her eyes as a wolf. At the time she had been pleased with herself, but she couldn't wag her tail now. A battle was about to start. As she walked among the others, she searched for Jaquel's scent; when they neared Jaquel she caught it. She saw that he was fitted with armor; he looked intimidating. Giving a small sigh, she waited for some kind of cue for what to do next.

Jaquel spotted a sleek brown and black she-wolf among the crowd coming towards him, who had violet eyes and hadn't been there before. "Good job, Violet." he congratulated, running to her. "You have nice wolf form. I remember your form from when I first really met you with Lily. It will make of a good fighter. Here, have some protection." He set down the brown sack and dug around, finding a gold-and-violet helmet that looked Violet's size. "This one is perfect." he told her as he settled it on her head and buckled the straps. "Does it fit?" He backed off and looked from a distance. "It looks fine, not too big or too small. Except this." He hurried over and adjusted it so it wouldn't hurt Violet's ears. Then Jaquel turned back to the bag. The others were putting on their armor. Emmy was a pure gold wolf with brown ears. Lance was black with a silver streak down her back. Manny was large and fire-colored, with white paws. They were helping prepare for battle. Jaquel picked a nice protected purple breastplate and leg protecters for Violet and gave them to her to put on. He instructed Manny to help her if she needed it. Then he selected a sword that looked like the right fit and passed it over to her. He told her how to use it if she needed to. "Mainly, we use our teeth and claws. But, sometimes, you will snag a claw or be caught surprised and need the sword. The fighting will come naturally to you." he explained. "If you need help, either call for me or turn into a human. Since you have this on, it fits both human and wolf. You will not be caught without clothing. Here are armor pants to put on before the battle. Use them wisely."

Violet waited while Jaquel gave her the armour and put it on for her; It felt a little heavy, but she would manage. She frowned, though, at the sword; how could she use this in her quadrepedal state? Instead of asking she kept quiet, sitting down and glanced at the trees, mind focused on the weight of her armour. She sighed; the armor, at least, gave her ribcage room to expand. She wondered how they would be able to defeat the vampires; didn't that require, like, a stake to the heart or something?

Jaquel saw the puzzeled look that momentairly crossed Violet's face when he put on her armor. "Is it too heavy? Do you need lessons with a sword?" he asked her, worried. "Grip the sword only when and if you change into a human. Sometimes it is easier to fight that way. The swords are inflicted with werewolf teeth- they are what hurt and kill the vampires the most. But vampires fight back, so be prepared. If we bite them, they are very hurt. If they bite us, WE are badly hurt. Bite or be bitten. It's kind of a motto, I guess." He shrugged. Then Jaquel laid a set of leather armor in front of Violet. "If this feels better, wear it. It is tough and hard to break, but will not hold up for long. Werewolves who feel themselves more likely to dodge in and bite, then retreat up into a tree and make a secret attack, wear this.
It enables them to move. I am not one of those werewolves. And if you don't want a sword, use a bow and arrow. If you imagine your wolf toes growing into long finger-like ones, they will. But the rest of you doesn't have to change. Do you understand?" Jaquel finished, waiting for a reply as he sat on his haunches.

Violet nodded quietly. "My armour is fine," she murmured, glancing to the trees warily. When would the vampires come? She caaught no scents of old blood...

Jaquel nodded, surveying the scene. "O.K., everybody, line up! Manny, behind me. Emmy and Lance, flank me on each side. Killer, behind Manny. Violet, stay next to Emmy, but on the inside of the circle to my left. Harp, Needle, Arrow, Bane, Josh, Tilly,Sam, and Mia come in on all directions. The rest of you follow me." he ordered, passing out weapons. "Let's move ahead and wait where we last smelled the vampires."


Lily grabbed Claire's arm as she dissapeared in red smoke, and they tumbled out into a dark clearing where vampires and werewolves sat and waited. "Vampires only. Come here." called Lily. She did not want werewolves suddenly turning vicious and changing sides. "We need weapons and cloth to hide us amongst the trees. Get it, Vineyard." Obiediantly a young vampire raced off into the trees. "Rose, assemble our warriors. The only werewolf allowed is Fenrir, my loyal servent. Tell him to get his special wands that can bring lightning down to Earth." Lily told a skinny girl about Lily's age, with long black hair reaching her waist and bright blue eyes. "Claire, this is Rose. She is my good friend, and has been for a better of my lifetime."

Violet obeyed, having to concentrate a little before shifting back into a human; fortunately, Jaquel had been right, and the armour kept her covered. She took her weapon and went to her spot, not really looking at the others. She merely watched the vampires, their scents coming to her nose; she wrinkled her nose immediately, still not liking the scent. WHy was she here, anyway? What was she doing in a battle where she didn't apply? She wasn't even apart of Jaquel's pack (well, she didn't really consider herself as part of it), and only learned the existence of vampires yesterday, and the existance of werewolves a month ago.

Even though a battle was about to break out, Violet stared into space, frowning thoughtfully. Why should she even be in this battle, anyway?
