Trace's body sailed into the air, the cool night air whipping his somewhat longish black hair out of his face for a couple of seconds before his feet finally came in contact with the edge of the next rooftop and he quickly managed to steady himself, taking another step forward. After living life out here on the streets for a long while already, Trace had picked up on a couple of tricks here and there that allowed for him to avoid actually having to come in contact with a ton of other people. Sure, he didn't have anything against them -- he wasn't a complete, antisocial freak -- but there wasn't anything wrong with occasionally wanted to get away and have some time to yourself, was there?
Ah, how lovely everything was up here on the rooftops. The way the moon's silver light seemed to be much much brighter up here. The way everything seemed so much quieter and lonely up here. It was flat out wonderful. Closing his crimson colored eyes for just a moment, he decided to fill his lungs in a deep inhale and tossed his head back to let himself relax. It had been a long day for him. So many close calls with a couple of violent street gangs had become just about ordinary to him already, and he'd nearly nearly gotten mugged.
"Too bad the idiots picked the wrong guy," Trace sneered, thinking back to how the guys' plans for a robbery suddenly turned around to bite them back on their butts. He was already yawning with sleepiness and decided to lay down for a while, using his weapons backpack as a pillow and hoping nothing decided to explode. That sure wouldn't be a pretty sight in the morning -- Trace wasn't too fond of the idea of having his head blown off by the next time the sun rose.
However, as he lay there with his eyes closed, ready to call asleep, a commotion suddenly reached his ears, disrupting the peace and quiet he thought was too good to actually be true. ...And that it was.
With a growl of annoyance, he quickly sat up and rushed over to the edge of the roof, ready to yell at whatever little brats were bickering with each other. But as he began to gather his words, something struck his attention. There were three girls down in the ally... but from he could tell, only one of them was actually human.
What to do? Should he stay here and just watch? Wait, did that girl just taste the human girl's blood?! No doubt about it, that one must be a demon... With his eyes shifting to the remaining girl, he figured she looked too good natured to be a demon... she had to be an angel...
"Yo!" Trace suddenly called out, a silly grin on his face as he did so, "What's going on ladies? What's up with all of this racket, huh? It’s hard for a guy to get any sleep when all he hears is fighting goin' on down there."
Flinging a backpack strap over his right shoulder, he jumped off of the edge of the roof and skidded along the side of it as he aimed to make his landing on a dumpster. Once that was completed, he jumped down onto the ground and leaned against the wall of the building he’d just been on top of. “But I think I’ll live.” He raised his eyebrow and examined them for a moment before he finally bothered to continue speaking. “So is there a reason that you ladies are so ready to rip each other’s throats out?”
He had to admit, on any other day, he would most certainly find a good chick fight rather entertaining, but this wasn’t just any kind of chick fight. These girls were ready to kill each other.
((O_o Wow, my intro post was a bit longer than I was expecting for it to be... but I'm gonna post for Jynx later... I'm too tired and lazy to do it right now xD))
