As Ian strolled through one of Sicily's markets, his mind wandered to the acerbic woman he'd met last night. It was interesting to say the least, to have met such an abrasive woman, but Karen was different, which Ian appreciated. As he reminisced, Ian began browsing through various food stands. When nothing caught his attention, the young bounty hunter sighed and decided to head to a new stand. Picking up a stalk of celery, Ian inspected the vegetable with critical eyes, though he wasn't exactly the greatest judge of produce. Nevertheless, the vibrant green stick of celery he picked up appeared to be fresh, so he picked out a few more and paid the merchant. After picking out several more food items, including mozzarella cheese, a loaf of bread, and an apple, Ian was by no means ready to cook but after living on his own for four years, he'd have to deal with it. His father certainly wasn't going to come back from the grave and hire a cook for his well-meaning but rather ill-prepared son. Such were the struggles of life.
Just as Ian was about to leave, Ian realized his shopping had taken him further away from where he'd left his plane than what he would have liked. Sighing, Ian's minor problem took the rear seat when he spotted the woman he'd met last night. A grin spread across the young man's face when he saw who Karen was walking away from: an unconscious Lucien. Karma was sweet. Waiting for Karen to be a bit closer before he approached, Ian smirked. When Karen was close enough, he greeted her with, "Buon giorno, principessa."
