Shouldering her black backpack, covered in dozens of colorful band-patches, Sierra pulled her headphones from her ears as a dark-haired man with a neatly-trimmed, but scraggly beard stepped up onto a tree stump. "Alright!" he announced enthusiastically, cupping his hands together as his deep gaze skimmed over the small crowd of individuals all looking to be around the same age. "I assume you've already been over the rules plenty, so I'm just going to briefly cover a few." A soft, un-enthused sigh escaped Sierra's lips as she pressed her shoulder against the rough bark of a tree's trunk, supporting most of her weight. "First: no electronics; we've provided you with headsets which will be used to communicate with us and your fellow contestants. If you are found with any other kind of electronic you will be asked to leave; this includes music devices. Secondly and finally: You are allowed to bring your own clothes, but any other supplies will be provided by us. No exceptions." he gave a quick nod; his fingers gently grazing over his chin as he stared ahead thoughtfully. "Now all of you will be led approximately ten miles inland. Your first task is to set up a camp of sorts, find food..the basics. Alright? ..Good luck!" he flashed a bright, charming grin as he stepped from the stump.
Sierra abruptly stuffed her iPod into her pocket in a mess of tangled wires as he mentioned something about no iPods, which she felt was completely ridiculous. How would having an iPod give her a hand-up on the other contestants? Her stunning, blue-green gaze skimmed over the few other individuals who'd recently arrived; each of them looking to be around her age..give or take a year. "Alrighty then, if there are no further questions..we'll begin!" one of the crew members began enthusiastically as he led the group through an opening in the woods. "Whoo..." a playful amount of sarcasm laced Sierra's words as they rolled from her tongue. The dead leaves that littered the forest floor crunching softly under her ankle-high boots as she followed a few paces behind.
