Zero looked away.
"Nevermind. Do you ever regret....anything you have done?" To Zero, his question seemed childish, but he knew it was a question Yagari hated to be asked. And Zero knew if Yagari was uncomfortable, he would walk away without answering or shrug and avoid the subject. Yagari was always so brave and thoughtful, but even Zero knew he was uncomfortable with things. Zero remembered what Yagari had told him once; "Vampire hunters are thought to be emotionless and feelingless, but that isn't true. We just have different fears than everyone else, and they don't understsand how or why we react to that fear. Remember this Zero: everyone is different. Everyone is weak and strong in their own way, and they have their own fears." Zero couldn't tell what his fears were. Maybe he feared Yuki seeing his true, monsterous self. He didn't know. Zero didn't even know what Yagari feared. He almost wanted to ask him...
