Bear tromped down the stairs and jumped onto Hannah's lap whimpering and licking her face. She stroked his head, eyes in slits. "I'm not going to leave yet," she murmured softly.

Aivilo looked up at her. "Hello," she said, then paused. "Isn't is a bit dangerous to be in a wood where the Wolf is if you don't have any weapons on hand?" Laddie jumped and licked the visitor, tail wagging. He looked so happy to find another human being. Treat! Treat! Treat! You have treats?! He seemed to say.

Tara smield and reahced in her pocket " i do not care i wil be fien i do ahve a weapon" she siad pulling out a dog biscut she carried aorudn for her own dog she handed it to Laddie " Here you go boy" she siad smiling

Laddie ate it with vigour, tail wagging. Aivilo smiled at this new friend of Laddie's. "I think if he wasn't eating he'd lick you. A lot."

Hannah smiled faintly, her breathing shallow. She held his hand tightly, wincing.

Aivilo laughed weakly. "Yes, I suspect most people wouldn't try to hunt the Wolf." She scooted over to make room for her. She rested her throbbing back against the fir's trunk. "I just don't want to let anyone else get hurt."
