Bella smiled. “Um, I’m a pretty good cook myself,” she said lightly. “You guys have a kitchen ’round here?”

"yeah" Alex replied shyly as he opened the door and walked out, but held the door for her. The kitchen was merely ten steps away. "its right through those doors down there" he explained.

Bella nodded, and filled a pot with water, plopping it onto the stove. She turned on the burner and sat down at the table.

Alex ran after her to keep up. He sighed and sat down at the table obviously tired. His shoulders slumped slightly but he'd be alright. He used his powers to perk up his mood a bit. "whatcha making?" he asked, a bit more confidence now I'n his voice.

Bella seemed surprised. “Pasta.” She smiled.

"awesome!" Alex said with bright eyes. He leaned on the table and sighed happily almost dreamily. "pastas delicious!" he exclaimed and leaned back I'n his chair.

Bella gave him a canny sort of look. She picked through his mind; he’d feel it, sort of like his head would feel heavier, like all the blood had rushed there.

Alex felt something I'n his head and held his temples as if he was having a really bad headache. He winced and put his head down onto the table willing it to recede. It hurt since he didn't know what it was.

Bella drew away from Alex’s mind swiftly. Hm—apparently she was pretty. She twirled the ends of her hair self-consciously, sitting across from him.

Alex felt the lain slowly leave and he slumped I'n his chair after he picked his head up. He looked at her and shook his head blinking.
