"Indeed," Charlie said. This was good practice, they both had their strengths and weaknesses, as she observed Luke she noticed how he pushed the sword, thrusting his weight into it, she did that a bit more in an attempt to get slightly better.

"Well done, you're definitely improving!" Luke said, as Charlie gave her best blow yet. Rubbing his wrist slightly, he said "I'm all tired out now! Shall we have a rest?"
Charlie nodded in agreement, "Let's," she said in reply, she put her cutlass into a hook in her belt. Then she rested her back against the side of the ship.

Luke looked out over the side of the ship, panting. He had learnt today how to mimick Charlie's deftness and nibleness. If he pretended he was as light as a feather when doging, and as heavy as a stone when attacking, he could improve his fighting a lot.
Charlie removed the bandana that she had been wearing. She appeared to have very short hair when it was up but when she removed this, long flowing masses of red hair tumbled down a bit further than her shoulders. She smiled, she felt rather free and certainly happy.

Luke smiled and walked up behind Charlie "You know, your hair looks really pretty like that," he said, "I guess it's a bit impractical for a pirate to have long hair all the time though." Luke ran his hand through his floppy mess of hair, making it even messier than it already was.
Charlie sighed, it was impractical, she really didn't lik her hair at all, it reflected her temper and reminded her of home, her mother and father had both had the same hair. She smile d though for Luke's sake. "It's not really," she said referring to the pretty part and the practical.
