Ricky felt his arm around her and smiled. Their courting had happened all so quickly. She didn't mind, though. It was nice to have someone to be close to and show affection to. She took a deep breath of the salty sea water and kept scanning the beach.

Matt just stood there as his gaze spread over the ocean, it was calming and made him think about his life for some reason or another. He couldn't help but let his thoughts turn to home for a moment.

Ricky turned so she could face him. She had never really been forced away from her family. Only after her father had died was she made to leave. It seemed like it would much harder if you never got to say bye to the family you might not see again. "You have to go home."

"I know," Matt said simply, he had been thinking about this, he ached for home but he wished to be with Ricky to, he had no place on a ship without his family, like Ricky had no place on the land. Matt sighed and smiled slightly but it didn't even strecth to his eyes, it wasn't a true smile.

Ricky looked away from him. She knew if he went home, she would have to give up sailing to be with him. That wasn't what would keep her, though. She wouldn't fit in living on land. She had no knowledge of anything to do with it. "I will speak to Charlie about it."

Matt nodded, he understood the situation all too well. He looked sad, he hoped somehow this would work out but at the moment it didn't appear to be working that way.
